  1. What's wrong with the Euro? It only places the low about 700 miles further north than 0z
  2. They probably forgot to ingest new data But seriously, my point was there were some posts about suppression yesterday, which I can't understand why anyone would worry about that 7+ days out. Anyway... CMC has wrap around snows for us next weekend, so we got that going for us!
  3. The good news is the 12z GFS should ease any suppression fears for next weekend
  4. The only thing I've learned in this hobby is I'm amazed it ever snows at all (considering the chain of events that has to line up perfectly). There's an old joke in cosmology that the only thing physicists have managed to prove studying the universe is that we probably shouldn't exist. 42F, light rain
  5. Getting a sun shower...very spring/summer like. 54F
  6. Do you really wanna be in the bull's eye this far out?? I like where we're sitting for now...by Monday Dr. No will have a cutter
  7. Too early to declare it a ratter but I have that same sinking feeling I had last Sunday watching the Saints opening drive.
  8. It's a great question. I know some back in the summer were suggesting it was a warm signal for this winter, including HM. I'm sure lots of papers will be written on it in the years to come.
  9. It's a shame the ground is so wet, otherwise it would be a great day for a mow. 57F
  10. 12z GFS puts some occasional blue over us. We take!
  11. Rippin' fatties here...okay, just heavy rain, 48F.
  12. Blinds shut and windows boarded over. On a positive note, it was a nice day to get out there and take down the outside Christmas decorations, 54F.
  13. I thought JB said volcanoes would cool the climate with all the ash they dump into the atmosphere. Wish he’d make up his mind.
  14. Hopefully he’s in a NyQuil induced coma.
  15. No snow on the ground, Eagles playing like crap…not enjoying 2023 so far
  16. Happy New Year! Yes, let's start by getting some flakes in the air, hopefully we'll have things to track as we get deeper into Jan.
  17. Pea soup continues unabated with drizzle, 51F. Always amazed at the morons driving w/o headlights on
  18. Best to Birds and Ralph! I had a respiratory thing a few weeks ago, no fever fortunately. Best part was pulling a muscle in my ribcage from coughing. After that, every sneeze, cough and nose blow was an adventure in pain. Back to weather...12z GFS almost blues on us 1/6. Yeah, won't happen but beats tracking Pac puke.
  19. Wear light, loose-fitting clothes and remember to drink plenty of fluids. 54F
  20. The only thing going on in that forum is a 300-level statistics course A gorgeous sunny, 53F out there today. Heater catching a nice break after working overtime.
  21. 1. Correct! 2. I was 14 in 1980 and seem to recall snow just before Christmas that year...either the 23rd or 24th. Thank you for confirming I didn't imagine that.
  22. Clouds lowering and thickening ahead of our clipper…an over performer so far. 27F
  23. Not sure what the coldest in my house has been. I went w/o power for a week after Sandy, so I’m guessing low 50’s? Yeah it was fun talking cold showers in a cold bathroom.
  24. Seriously…that’s when you run out to buy bread, milk and eggs! Hope they don’t lose power. Even with a home generator, I imagine you would have to clear snow from around it every few hours.
  25. Bottomed out at 4F. Very impressive when you consider the breezy conditions overnight and no snow pack.
