    Some good news as it looks like the deathbandthat had parked over the north hills is dissipating…damage is already done though.

    Any reports on millvale/etna? I cannot imagine they aren’t flooding.

    We get a flood EAS. One of my coworkers lives in south hills off of 51 which is closed. Called t explain he couldn’t make it up and was told to come to work. I lose a huge amount of respect for bosses like that.

    Yeah north motion on this band is stalling and it looks like it is back building a bit. The north hills is going to get obliterated by this.

    NAM ticked a bit south. The really heavy stuff is down in Washington and westmoreland. Either way I think it will just come down to where the banding sets up.

    HRRR is still showing a big swath of 3-5 more inches across the county.

    This is like the exact opposite of what happens in winter. Suppressed storms always seem to stay south

    Gfs also looks like it has 4-6 inches county wide. This is going to suck.

    Yikes. 18z nam is horrific. The southern half of the county has a bunch of areas in the 6-8 inch range.

    18z hrrr puts out 3-6 inches basically county wide.

    Already issues in our area. Have a slow outer band moving through causing flooding already. I have a feeling some of our low lying areas are in big trouble.

    Ummmm this is less than ideal that we are already seeing flooding issues with an outer band moving in.

    Honestly this has been a longstanding issue as far back as I can remember with PIT.

    Do you guys have better discussions? This is KPIT's latest, and honestly I think it is flat lazy and unacceptable given the uncertainties and impactfulness of this event.

    Yep, and I think it depends on who is writing it. There was one a day or two that was excellent, but this dude who wrote this just is straight awful and frankly lazy. Here is the detailed one.

    Honestly given the uncertainties and how impactful this could be this discussion from KPIT is unacceptable.

    This has some REALLY ugly potential. I would all be for a shift south as I don't really want to see 6 inches of rain over the metro.

    Man, this looks like our snow maps in the winter in Pittsburgh lol. honestly I’m fine with missing this one though.

    Latest CPC map actually looks to fringe us. I’d be fine with that, but any bump north puts us in line for a half foot of rain.
