  1. Compared to other years though it looks increasingly likely that we don’t see a grinch storm. That’s a win to me. I define a grinch storm as being much closer to Christmas than Monday’s storm.
  2. It get a little something going after the initial cutter departs. It’s intriguing to see a window open on the globals.
  3. Looks like a valley heartbreaker but I’d dance with it because of the impact. I honestly didn’t realize until I moved back just how many ways there are to get screwed in the valley. CAD is the only way to jackpot here and that’s for 31.9° ZR. May those storms enjoy an eternal slumber.
  4. I’m too young to remember this storm of yore
  5. They know the Grinch is on his way He’s bringing Phil and hydro issues on his sleigh And every weenie’s child is going to cry When dad is broken and leaves, no goodbye
  6. That period does look tempting. Even a weak NS clipper diving down would do the trick.
  7. Otherwise…rains to the Labrador Sea
  8. That’s awesome. Good start up there. Behind DCA now here. Probably until late January.
  9. Never expected winter here to begin in earnest until after January 15th or so. Still don’t think December is a total loss but unlike last year I don’t think it’s worth canceling winter even if it is. The red flag for me would be seeing an extended hostile pacific pattern on long range guidance at the start of the new year.
  10. No need to wax poetic or whatever, but it brings me a lot of joy seeing the wx pictures and happiness that comes when something works out.
  11. We love to see it. Congrats to those that got measurable! I’ll always root for y’all.
  12. It’s just the dumbest season of them all.
  13. It’s pretty wild. A month’s worth of rain plus in 24 hours basically.
  14. Windy with warm rain to cold rain here IMO
  15. To be fair I was talking about 00z lol
  16. GFS has it a bit windier for the cape. We’re cooked but maybe a little more accumulating snow in NW CT and some backside flakes (Fraud Five alert) elsewhere.
  17. I have put a gas can next to my Christmas tree just in case.
  18. It also happened last year, and that was historic as well. I don’t believe anybody should be panicking right now. Not sure why there’s so much apprehension at this point if folks are just looking at this season. For now I’m just proceeding with caution on the evolution this month, which I do think is important.
