  1. Eyes always off the ball. We approve of the 7th, hope to get some measurable with the 4th. 10th an eternity away.
  2. Good to hear from you. Feel (fully) better soon and I hope you and your family had a happy holiday.
  3. Feel bad for those that went with “no changes”. *this is not a football spike post
  4. That’s a chase worthy beaut on the Euro
  5. Retention matters little to me here in the valley. For me, total snowfall, frequency of events, impact of events, and novelty of events (for example the big cold in February) hold significant weight in a seasonal grade.
  6. Fog setting in again and although pope will declare me a heretic we’re well below the forecasted high here today.
  7. This 100%. Zero concern for now. Call me mid-January.
  8. You can see how people way back in the day would lose lose their minds over seeing something like that obviously unexpectedly. The entire environment and landscape is transformed, from the temperature to movement of animals.
  9. In my mind it improves the same way part of the Atlantic basin improves in early August—it’s great to see the upper level window open just as climo starts to ramp up, but it usually takes time for something good to cook. I understand the angst around here, annoying as it is. While I wish what @Torch Tiger said was true, this is emphatically a winter forum. This is the end all be all for a lot of posters and when you’re staring at ~16 weeks where it can legitimately snow the clock ticks and winter lovers get anxious. I genuinely like where we are. We absolutely need to produce eventually, but the first step is just opening the window. We’re getting there. The next benchmark is mid-January for me.
  10. Really looking forward to this. I think New England can be tricky in April but I’m willing to drive a long distance for this. I saw the one a few years ago by traveling to SC and it was one of the greatest events I’ve ever witnessed. It is beyond profound.
  11. Merry Christmas to you too! It’s always fun being Santa for the little skeletons!
  12. Weenies rejoicing at the GFS showing snow at inside 120 while TBlizz laments an alps runner at 372?
  13. Merry Christmas from the GFS lol. All we need is a Euro medium range nuke of yore for depressed weenies to go from snapping at annoying in-laws at sunrise service to belting out Christmas carols hand in hand with grins on faces and hope in hearts this afternoon.
  14. 100% December may be lost but I look at the 500mb progression on the ensembles and I feel pretty optimistic that another rat isn’t walking through the door. For the record I’m not on board with an AN snow year. Unlike last year, I think the windows will be real particularly after Jan 15 and produce just enough for a near normal season here. If we were staring down a puke pac on the ensembles through mid January I’d feel much different. I know weenies (myself included) want the model cinema and dopamine drip of a tangible threat, but if we learned ANYTHING FROM LAST YEAR it’s that blindly chasing op fantasy storms is an exercise in futility. Merry Christmas, everyone.
  15. Merry Christmas, fellow weenies!
