  1. Yeah... it’s low probability... but not impossible. I don’t think anyone is getting all gassed up or anything about it. Just a period maybe to keep an eye on as we move into next week. Expect nothing, be pleasantly surprised if something changes.
  2. I know we are getting the hyperbole “sell” “not happening” etc etc... but I think there is a small window to sneak something in... the Canadian kind of illustrates this with the system that brushes the cape.
  3. Congrats Jimmy next weekend on the 00z Canadian... what a storm that is
  4. Looks like nothing of note through roughly mid month at least... tick tick. Going to be tough... that’s for sure
  5. Nope.... there is almost no disqualifying factors... marriage, moving out, etc etc. It was a pretty good gig honestly. I was prepared to have to come off in October when I got married... but both my wife and my insurance said it didn’t matter. We were good until 26
  6. 300 hmo 600 ppo. I looked into that as well. My wife has some weird conditions that she sees specialists for, so I’m not sure if that would be the best option for us, since she probably needs pretty consistent doctors visits. I mean, it’s pretty expensive either way... the damage is done with the cost of any plan lol... I guess it’s just choosing between various degrees of suck
  7. So I have the pleasure of getting off my parents health insurance next month (turning 26) and am choosing between an hmo and ppo for myself and wife. Ive always has a ppo on my parents insurance, and that has worked well, especially when needing to see a specialist for various reasons. Im leaning ppo, any practical reasons not to do so? Its about 50$ more per pay period and co pays are 10$ higher
  8. Hoping the warm temps keep up. Backyard is getting done this year. Putting loam down.... going to need a lot of it
  9. Combination of temps and a newer home has done wonders for my heating expenses this year. Topped of our 500 gallon propane tank end of March last year (80% is considered full, due to expansion etc etc). So this winter we started at 80%... currently sit at 50% remaining as we approach March... highly doubt we go lower than 40% by the end of the “heating” season. Quick math based on what we’ve used and price we paid last March puts us at about 110$ a month to heat our home.... not bad
  10. Yeah.... laughably expensive.... and I’m sure everyone wants wires and cords running all over the place
  11. I’m not surprised.... this is a close second to that season.... all we need is to completely punt March and we’re in business
  12. Question for the car folks out there. On the truck I just bought I just noticed when the cabin lights are on (when it’s dark) the A/C button light flickers constantly. Is it a bulb, or something else?
  13. Been trying to get registration and inspection and all that stuff squared away... looking at the 12z gfs... fun run if you like tons of rain every 3 days or so
  14. These warranties also cover a bunch of stuff that your insurance policy covers, so you’d basically be paying twice for the same thing. They wanted like 1200 bucks for glass replacement with no deductible. I have that coverage on my insurance policy and I don’t think it adds up to that much money. I think that is a pretty standard coverage for most insurance in mass too, so I can’t imagine why’d you’d need to buy that.
  15. Yeah, not surprising. I think they make most of their money from add ons, fees, and selling warranty policies. I got a bunch of horror stories about this that and the other thing from the guy. I felt like saying, if this is all true, you should probably start selling better cars.
  16. Yeah, my last vehicle I purchased a warranty, I was kind of inexperienced and the whole process seemed to be rushing along and I thought I really needed it. Cost me like 3000 and I never used it, not once, before it expired. I said no to everything on this one. It’s certified pre owned and I have like 40+k left on the power train plus some additional warranties that come with a gmc certified pre owned. It isn’t worth it. Not sure how reputable a number this is, but I’ve seen after doing some research that those finance folks can take anywhere from 25 to 50! Percent of the cost of the warranty home. That shows you how useless they are, half the cost is just a commission basically. He was pretty bad at hiding the fact that he wasn’t happy
  17. Buying a car is still kind of the worst though. Although, this experience wasn’t as bad as others. was able to get money off the price and more for my trade with some negotiation... mostly done online. Finance guy was kind of a dink after I declined all warranties they offer, (which were like half the price of the truck in some instances). My guess is a lot of the money he makes is tied to that
  18. https://www.robertsonsgmc.com/VehicleDetails/certified-2017-GMC-Sierra_1500-Double_Cab_Standard_Box_4_Wheel_Drive_SLT-Wareham-MA/3574648303 purcahsed this vehicle today. Thanks for the help everyone
  19. Thanks. Yeah I’ve already checked comps and looked at trade in values and private sale stuff. The price actually isn’t far off.... I’ve found they are too high by about a thousand dollars. The truck was actually listed for like 600-700$ less but has since gone up, which I’m curious about and waiting to hear back on
  20. https://www.mastria.com/used/GMC/2016-GMC-Sierra+1500-72a6e0e40a0e0adf0f345bcaf37ce643.htm test driving tomorrow
  21. Yeah... pretty much what Ginx said.... need it for my house. I was using my dads but he is getting rid of his, so I want my own. I do way to much around the house with the landscape and stuff not to have something.
  22. I’m looking to trade in my car for a truck... any advice on brands, etc?
  23. I am confident in saying we’ll never see that combination of snow and cold ever again. What a month.... arctic circle comes to se mass
