I agree too. I believe you mentioned the other day you had just over 2" of liquid  in the bucket. I had that initial thump of 3" then turned to a mixed bag. Maybe a wired combination of marginal temps,sun angle, and between bands. 

For the upcoming Wednesday event, anything more than partly cloudy skies will be a bonus .

You could check out some hotels around Kingston off the thruway. Your not too far from the Phoenica area take route 28. You will be just south of hunter and up in elevation. It's just east of shandaken.

Upton just upgraded Orange County to Winter Storm Warning. Basically 4-7" for elevations of 800' +

If we could get the winds to go a little more than forecasted, we could hit blizzard warning criteria. It will be a interesting event tomorrow.

Agree, the biggest concern will be the snow per hour rates and stress on trees and power lines. This wind driven  paste will stick to everything.
