    Temperature dropped almost 8° in Greenfield. This is the best I could do with my old iPhone through the eclipse glasses.

    GFS looked kind of meh’ compared to previous runs.

    Can already see high-level clouds on the western horizon here. Hopefully we don’t end up with complete cloud cover here this afternoon.

    That's good to hear and I kind of agree, the traffic is probably being overhyped by the media and local officials.

    Congrats to everyone going North for the full totality. I hope it is even more epic than you think it will be! I'll be helping chaperone the kids watching from my son's school in W MA. Looks like about 95% totality here.

    In reality if I went up there with the boy it would almost surely involve missing at least a day and a half of work and school but probably two days.

    Yeah, November 15 to December 15 can be rough. In April, at least in the valley, we can do real well on those downslope dandy days.

    I was on the second floor of an older building and it shook pretty good and we immediately headed for the door.

    Oh it was definitely an earthquake in Greenfield. Everything shook.

    I’ll say one thing, as fun as it would’ve been to watch it happen I’m glad I didn’t wake up to a foot of snow on the ground this morning. The highest totals up north are not far behind my entire season total.

    We had moderate for a while in Greenfield this morning so probably added an inch between 7 AM and 9AM.

    I was just thinking I had close to 4 inches in that November storm too. Weird winter.
