    Surprise to come home just now and see that my neighborhood is just getting above freezing now. still plenty of glaze in the trees but a mile into town nothing

    Roads were not pretty in jGreenfield this morning. downtown is OK now but it was real slick earlier.

    Mid 30s across the valley today. Not convinced we get too much in the way of wintry precipitation tonight. I would honestly prefer a cold rain rather than get any accumulating sleet that is going to freeze on my driveway.

    Well, that is one of the best snow spots in NE outside of the favored Green Mountain upslope darlings.

    Nice area, real rural living. I worked at Buffalo Mt Co-op one summer when I was living in Greensboro.

    That would suck but sort of falls in line with what Ray has been saying in so much as anything major before mid-January is a bonus.

    Excellent, a unanimous decision. A few days of cool but don't play the fool because then we warm, we rain some posters go insane depression becomes rage then Ray says, we turn the page!

    I'm not saying that that GFS is right in anyway but if it was, any SNE/CNE ski areas would basically be neutered going into January.

    GFS would certainly waste some winter QPF as liquid next 10 days.

    Rough night around town for inflatable Christmas characters. Lots of wind casualties. Nice to have flurries in the air though.

    Just incredible volumes of water moving through the Connecticut River at Turners Falls. Hopefully I can get back there before dark to video it.

    It's looking better in the long range but wow, most of SNE could be looking at mother nature pitching a full December shut out. Not quite a no-hitter but not many base runners. Can you imagine the mood on here if we had not gotten that early November snow?

    It happens so frequently that I question why anybody even risks a family ski trip for this week ? Yeah, I know scheduling is tight with a family but better skiing is almost guaranteed for February break or pull the kids out of school two days and do a nice long weekend later in the winter.

    Sure but we still had wind advisory up and literally had no wind. MPM at 1000'+ barely had a breeze.

    I've been thinking/hoping model displacement of precip to far E all week just based on experience in winter cutters. Congrats Albany?
