  1. Yeah, it makes no sense. I’m sure numbers would still be alarmingly high if we tested every man, woman and child in the US. If cases are mild who cares?
  2. FWIW, most of the Covid cases in the Cape Cod outbreak are in vaccinated individuals.
  3. I buy extended warranties with major appliances. Our neighbor is a repair man and he said the failure rate on new washing machines nowadays is one in four within 3 years. That is ridiculous and sad.
  4. Great basketball game tonight. Giannis is so athletic and talented.
  5. Refreshing breeze off of Buzzards Bay this evening.
  6. How have I never seen this before?
  7. Well, that is a complicated question. I was, for quite a while, generally only responsible for making sure stores bought the beer and it got to where it needed to go. So, sales and distribution manger. Then when the lock downs came and we lost staff, including our head brewer, I got physically involved in the brewing process. Hard work and not glamorous but it's a hands on product so ultimately satisfying. Being north of 50 lets just say my body and I are glad we are back to where we have been able to hire new assistant brewer. Lol A small craft brewery is not just making beer but doing all of the packaging, keg washing / filling and delivering. So, there are lots of side jobs in the brewing process. Brew days are complicated with many steps. I would be happy to go through it all in detail in a later post but I will be making a video in a few weeks so that will be on youtube. The short answer to your question is that working in the right brewery can be really fun, even if the pay scale isn't great. I won't lie, sometimes you are literally getting paid and encouraged by the boss to drink fresh delicious beer. Quality control is essential. ; )
  8. Oh yeah, last winter we had some kid working at the brewery, he was actually a great worker, call in one day and said he tested positive. Never heard from him again but I know he’s OK because I’ve seen him around town.
  9. Precipitation averaging out may get everybody a cold dry winter.
  10. The current vaccination cards are pretty simple and very easy to counterfeit. There is really no proof of vaccination unless there is some type of uniform nationwide RFID card issued. Several red state governors have already said their state will have nothing to do with that so it will be interesting to see where this all goes if anywhere.
  11. Sun is out here finally. It was out around 3pm and I made the mistake of leaving my sunroof open, for literally 5 minutes, while I ran into the brewery to grab some paperwork. You can guess what happened in those 5 minutes.
  12. Lol, it's not going away but probably weakening. Deal with it folks. https://pitchfork.com/news/dutch-music-festival-linked-to-1000-new-covid-cases/
  13. Yeah, that's a shit hits the fan, currency war scenario and not likely to happen. US debt held by foreign powers is worrisome but it's pretty much a mutually assured destruction scenario for all, so the dollar still rules the roost. As far as the market goes, you can make some money if you are savvy but it is still essentially a tool to transfer wealth from the have nots to the haves. I still feel like leveraged trading and especially leveraged shorting should be done away with. The DJIA should be in the low 20's not the low 30's. Do you see a bounce tomorrow or more pain?
  14. I’ll have to go back and look for it but about a week and a half ago there was a new poster in one of the stock sub Reddit’s that said to cash out profits on Friday the 16th because there’s going to be a big pullback on Monday the 19th. Either a lucky guess or they knew something was up.
  15. I love that when the market is shaky investors flock to the “safe haven” dollar.
  16. I’ll try to get over there today to take some pictures. Lots of damage from what I understand.
  17. You know how this will probably play out today, after all the retail idiots that were leveraged long get liquidated, the institutions will come in this afternoon scooping up bargains and cut the market losses in half.
  18. We are still trying to be outdoor and active with our kid but it just gets a little bit depressing going days and days without sunshine.
  19. Had a good 15 minutes of sun here and now lots of low clouds with occasional peaks of blue.
  20. The aliens are probably here already but just want nothing to do with us.
  21. Basically stealing a third of the summer in SNE.
  22. Oh' didn't realize Greenfield was in the warning now. That must have just gone up past half hour or so.
  23. Yeah, Millers Falls got hit pretty hard this morning with flooding. Keene NH has got to be under the gun with this latest batch.
