First legit “hot day” of the season. 92° in downtown Greenfield and I imagine the dew points are in the upper 60s right now.

Already have the living room down to 66° with just the fans. I have zero opposition to air-conditioning and use it when I’m uncomfortable, I am suggesting that this is not a hot stretch of weather yet.

Smoke is definitely affecting our temperatures in W MA. 78° under hazy skies.

Came in here round 6pm. I opened all the windows to cool the house an hour ago and my eyes are burning a bit now. edit: there are surely multiple allergens causing that but the smoke was visible up high.

Same here. They had been few and far between through may. A bigger more aggressive population all of a sudden. I would gladly take a week of hot and dry right now to knock the insects down a bit.

That's a whole different level of aggression. Yellow Jackets and White Faced Hornets are not to be f'd with, at least as far as their nesting area goes.

Yeah, black flies have been pretty much a non-factor here, ticks on the other hand have been out of control. One of the worst tick seasons I’ve ever experienced. i’ve had multiple bites, but fortunately all were caught very quickly. I had a PCP write me a Doxy scrip just to have on hand.
