    January 2005 in Cambridge was the only 30” I’ve seen. It snowed for two days. The city was buried and the big amounts were very localized to just inland by a few miles.

    A continent wide record cold surge, if it happens, should end with a bang and that's only our mid-winter. We good.

    I've been waiting for his offering on today's runs. You obviously know we snow or with a mix of bad timing, no. I feel like we get the MECS in the next few weeks. That period around the 9th-14th feels ripe.

    Fast flow and the possibility of poor wave spacing and destructive interference is always in play but we wait and watch.

    It's certainly going to get cold across most of the US.

    The pond ice in W MA is pretty solid, 4”+ of black ice. We definitely won’t lose it all but there will always be that layer of “punk ice”, even with a deep refreeze.

    The upcoming stretch is our best legit snow pattern in a while. Let's hope we at least get one region-wide warning event for SNE. I like that period from 5th or 6th through mid-month. The weenies need this!
