  1. You will be the only person I know of from Templeton. Quiet town between the metropolises of Gardner and Athol. Good snow prospects though. The N Orh Co. sweet spot.
  2. What sucked is I had to drive through torrential downpour’s coming through the Mansfield / Norton area and then nothing at home. We did see a car on the shoulder with flames shooting out of the wheel wells. Without missing a beat, my 11 year old said “well at least it’s raining”.
  3. We got back to Greenfield tonight and the ground was bone dry. Must’ve been a complete miss here as well.
  4. Does end of next week still look hot? It’s the one weekend of the summer I would rather not have high heat. Helping with a big outdoor music fest in Greenfield.
  5. Organized crime will ensure we never go cashless.
  6. Elon and Michael Saylor are still buying.
  7. “The selloff has erased nearly $3 trillion from U.S. retirement accounts, according to Alicia Munnell, director of the Center for Retirement Research at Boston College. By her calculations, 401(k) plan participants have lost about $1.4 trillion from their accounts since the end of 2021. People with IRAs — most of which are 401(k) rollovers — have lost $2 trillion this year.”
  8. Lol stock market. Investors must be afraid no more free money is going to get printed.
  9. I grew up in E Cambridge in the 70’s, with my neighborhood clan swinging an old shovel handle at a pink rubber ball and an abandoned brick building as our backstop. #citytough
  10. If you get through June without big heat it’s always a win. Who cares if July and August torch? It’s high summer and you expect some heat.
  11. The high brow hills of Tolland CT don’t allow street sports.
  12. Beautiful evening down in Falmouth. 70s blue skies and dry air.
  13. I did put the AC on for about two hours today. Might’ve only been because I got overheated working in the yard.
  14. Yeah, nobody’s 401(k) is in danger of going to zero I just feel bad for people who are retiring with 20 or 30% less than they thought they had last year. My bigger concern is inflation, fuel and the cost of living for middle and lower classes. It could be a rough couple of years. In the end, all you can do is hang it up and see what tomorrow brings and just keep truckin’ on!
  15. Bad day in the markets. Anybody who long-term invested in stocks in the past year or so is now in the red I’m sure. I don’t have a 401(k) but I can’t imagine those are looking as good as they were a year ago. I just wonder if tomorrow is a bounce or a bleed out? It’s not gonna be good if we go into the fall with food prices inflating higher and oil staying high. A lot of poor folks will be making hard decisions about heat or eat.
  16. I just don’t understand why they were still so many buyers last week when it seemed pretty obvious the price was going to continue downward based on the rest of the markets. The majority of BTC holders are in the red now.
  17. ^^^ we actually did get a decent drink last week but we have missed a lot of snow and rain this year. Not sure if it’s just bad luck or topography of Franklin County has not been favorable to the set ups we have seen?
  18. Well it doesn’t snow here in the winter so why should it rain in the summer?
  19. What I don’t understand is why as of last week were BTC longs at an all-time high. People still piling in even as it dropped made no sense.
