  1. Looks like WNE is done with the heavy rains. Brutal humidity though. 74/72 currently.
  2. Maybe some here will get 20x the rain you get today?
  3. Looks like we may dry the pattern out a bit after this week.
  4. Could get interesting later for Dave‘s area and the hills of northern Worcester County/Quabbin hilltowns. Might get some flash flooding in those areas.
  5. Maybe storms redevelop this afternoon? But yeah, it looks tame for now in WNE.
  6. 1.6” so far today. Just light rain right now. Oddly, the way this summer has been, 1.6” in a few hours doesn’t even seem like a lot.
  7. Looks like Litchfield County in CT is out of the woods right now. Majority of the heavy rain looks like it’s going to train along the far eastern slope of the Berkshires through the CRV in MA. Secondary max maybe in Worcester Co?
  8. My sister is on route 27 in Chelmsford and she said there hasn’t been any thunder nor even a breeze.
  9. Just grabbed another quarter inch of water in about 15 minutes. So we’ve got that going on.
  10. Some of the East Quabbin hill towns and out through Gardner and Leominster got some significant rainfall.
  11. Picture from a friend of mine in S VT of tonight’s storms moving in. The photo is from Marlboro VT.
  12. Streams and rivers were still high here today and then we dumped another 1" quickly tonight. I assume sections of VT saw similar rain tonight?
  13. 1-1.5" in NW MA tonight with some flash flooding. Nothing outrageous but rivers will be running high again tomorrow. I imagine CT River will remain at minor flood stage through tomorrow night.
  14. Wind was minimal here but impressive light show and very heavy rain. 1.25"
  15. Big line of cells coming. Sky to my west is black, continues thunder and lightning in the distance.
  16. Vernon Dam. That’s an impressive structure. You can start canoe trips there and go all the way to Turners Falls. It’s a beautiful two day trip.
  17. Crazy. Water can be terrifying, I can’t even imagine it inundating your house. Furniture ruined, carpets ruined, cars, furnaces, septic systems all ruined. Sheet rock and plaster water logged and becoming a mold hazard. I wouldn’t be buying a used car from anywhere in Vermont anytime soon…
  18. The difference is, when it’s dry at least you have the option of watering some stuff. When it constantly rains you don’t have the option of “sunning” stuff.
  19. Brutal and all of that stuff, from hundreds of homes, needs to somehow be disposed of properly. My coworkers best friend lives in Waterbury and said everything in his neighborhood smelled like petroleum today.
  20. Did I mention it rains every day here? My tomato plants are getting stem rot.
  21. SundayMonday? The ground may never get a chance to dry out this summer…
