  1. Currently 24 .6 at Mt Mitchell, 36.9 at Sassafras in SC.
  2. I wish i could ever get to the point where i could say that. My little 2.5 inches didnt scratch the surface for me.
  3. This weather is gorgeous! Feels like November!
  4. The past couple of warm days have reinforced two certainties for me: 1, I'm looking forward the cool off, and 2, I'm really dreading the heat for June - September! 89 today at CAE, 90 at Augusta.
  5. Yea this is crazy, im already over 37 for the year. I bet some mtn locations are nearing or over 50 already.
  6. Ouch, not looking forward to the heat advertised for next weekend. So beautiful today!
  7. Actually I refuse to turn mine on for now, but one could easily do so to keep the inside heat at bay.
  8. Wow, gonna have to turn on the ac the next few days. 70s and 80s for many with lows in 50s and 60s.
  9. I'm the first post in 3 days! Wow, that's sad Looks like no more 30s after tomorrow, highs all in the 60 and lows in the upper 40s/50s. Hopefully Spring will not get hot for awhile. Looks like the rainy pattern contiues for the next two weeks though.
  10. This forum has died! Looks like the trend of bad timing for the upstate continues. Actually getting some light precip east of the escarpment, which is very rare for these setups, but it's 47 and rain. It was 27 this am, it needed to come through then. Been that way all winter, even the surprise event of 2/8 came through 6 hours too late. Triple dog yuck at weather next week; warm and rainy.
  11. Wow, according to that map I would have been in either the 2-4 or 4-8 in stripe for MBY in the upstate. Caesar's Head would have been in the 8-12. I would have been fairly young but I have no memory of that system. I do seem to have a vague memory of a third big snow in the 87/88 years so maybe that was it?
  12. Honestly, all we can hope for at this point is some cold. If the modeled cold verifies over the next couple of weeks we'll have a shot or two. We all know that many of our events aren't modeled a week or two in advance, and often show up within just 2-4 days. Give me the cold and I'll take my chances, especially this late in the game.
  13. Wonder if there's a young man in a T-shirt listening to a rock n roll station, or a woman in the kitchen cleaning up the evening slop...
  14. Mine too, actually almost 2 degrees from my low. Would be funny if it never gets below freezing tonight and the kids have a day off anyway. 36.5 here.
  15. The models nailed that snow band over mid eastern upstate. Just little sprinkles of rain here. Complete miss here in my area. Few snow showers but never even got a real good one.
  16. Wow pickens county schools closed tomorrow! . Wow.
  17. Wow, that's way more than I've seen here. Congrats!
  18. Well heavier returns out of GA all moving south of me, end of precip now in NWGA. Man, pretty bad when you underperform on a dusting to an inch.
  19. When I went to bed with a temp of 44 and woke up to the same temp it was pretty obvious what was going to happen. If you're below 2000 feet, temp is always, ALWAYS the first priority.
