  1. I'm farther south than you. I'm in the right subforum though. I remember a late march storm that melted in like a day where I'm at. To be clear to y'all I'm not suggesting it can't snow I'm saying it can't stay around once it stops falling and roads will be fine during peak solar mid day.
  2. You live in Manchester. Completely different Climo from most of the subforum. Yes you can get snow up there. My lawn is already brown as dirt after 4'' the other day. In fact 10'' cooked off in about 2 days back in late January...
  3. The northern zones maybe? DCA did not receive close to that amount. It's more or less impossible for us to build lasting snowpack even now.
  4. Day 10 is March. It's going to have to come at night to really accumulate with sun angle and marginal temps.
  5. DC's current avg high is 47 degrees, and in just a week's time it will be breaking the 50 mark with the average low above freezing. UV index will be 4/10 in 10 days, and we are gaining a minute of daylight in the evening which will be 6pm by month's end. We have almost made it according to climo! I thank my lucky stars I live below 40N even if Raleigh is GOAT climate.
  6. As Per Tradition, Mid February is when our forum starts the annual Spring Tracking thread. Post all related posts to upcoming warmth and inevitable sun angle and longer days in this thread! DC's current avg high is 47 degrees, and in just a week's time it will be breaking the 50 mark with the average low above freezing. UV index will be 4/10 in 10 days, and we are gaining a minute of daylight in the evening which will be 6pm by month's end. We've almost made it according to climo. What does this year have in store?
  7. That looks awful. I can barely go outside when it's below 55F... Them places up north experience a winter that's just about impossible to experience 'round here, which I'm thankful for. That sounds like a different season and makes DC winter seem like autumn.
  8. How did you get so lucky to move to such a magical place?
  9. It's borderline overperforming right now. Maybe we get surprised.
  10. Ridiculous. I really need to move. Don't understand why it's so dam hard to keep the 80s around until thanksgiving.
  11. Won't verify. Not this cold at least.
  12. Keep the long range disco for mid Novemeber.
  13. It's too cold lol I'm in a long sleeve shirt
  14. Snow isn't anomalous when you live in Manchester lol. You may as well live north of 40N. You can't complain dude. A cloud passes and you get a flurry.
  15. I'd like a few more 90s with 70+ dews and I'd love a tropical system up this way that gets cut off and we get a foot of rain...
  16. Move north if you don't expect warm months to be warm lol
  17. We live in the subtropics. Mid March through Mid November should be warm around here.
  18. DCA 12/5 BWI 11/19 IAD 11/12 Ric 12/5 ITS GON RAIN 6.7''
  19. Keep it coming! Average is AN across the world now anyways.
  20. I'm moving to NC (Wilmington Area ironically) next year so I guess I can put up with one more cold fall...
  21. Let's keep the sweatshirt stored away until thanksgiving please... Is it so hard to ask for fall to be 80 and sunny?
  22. @SENC Are you staying put in Wrightsville?
  23. Euro is going to be a massive hit. Sub 950mb head due NW off Hateras. Looking like an Isabel/1933 track. 594 ridge stronger than 00z and further SW. Oh boy.
  24. Pouring heavily in southern MoCo. Rain is blowing sideways with strong gusts. This beats most of the STWs we get.
  25. How can short range models be this wrong? DCA is going to report over an inch tonight easily. Radar looks like a rain hose.
