  1. Move on down if you can deal with the less snowfall lol
  2. I'm so sick of the pity warnings.
  3. Ever been to Texas in summer? It would surprise you how brown their grass is. You'd think nature would adapt to where it lives. Relevant to us, not sure what it means that we are getting brown grass during the summers..
  4. Think we could make a run at most 90 in a year all time? We got a late start this year if my memory is correct?
  5. I feel like I've definitely seen 60 with 3/4 inch hail.
  6. Wow 70 and 1.5 inch hail. Not the typical pity watch. Thank you H2O
  7. Do you have the language in the watch? Winds to 60?
  8. The warmer the waters get here, mainly Chessy Bay and Mid Atl SSTs, we are going to get stronger shots when they do come up here.
  9. That river helps our dews. It also helps our lows. I agree with MN Transplant when we can get that river to 90+ consistently DCA night temps are going to often be in high 70s+
  10. Gunning for top July all time. We needs to keep storms away today to hold the low.
  11. Never understand cold weenies. I'd be perfectly okay if our January average highs were 50F.
  12. This is such a dumb hobby. Why do I care!! Ugh very annoying
  13. Perhaps more movement on the lows? I feel like our low temps have been rising faster than even the highs.
  14. Wow really nice insight! Super cool. Thanks Astarck. I'm not as familiar with the 90s temps so perhaps that was still a cooler period than we've seen in the past 15 years.
  15. That's really exciting and I didn't know that. Will new climo norms be 1991-2020? So all values we are recording now through the rest of this year would count in the new climo stats? (Current is 1981-2010) right?
  16. Put another way, sure seems "easier" for DC to go above climo in the low to mid/upper 90s than to go similar departure below climo for a streak of low to mid 80s in July. Imagine a streak in July of 20-30 days <90? Doesn't seem possible.
  17. Looking into August, 90+ the rest of the way. At this point, is DC's average July temperature really 87-89? I find it hard to believe. I think the argument can be made the "heat streak" we had this month is honestly average dc July weather at this point with highs in the low 90s with lows in the low to mid 70s. Could have destroyed the streak with 30+ 90 straight days.
  18. Send her to UMD! Such an amazing experience. I miss it so much lol
  19. Can you promise me a HOT AND HUMID fall first with some tropical action??
  20. Hoping we have one of the warmest winters of all time. I could use highs in the 50s straight through January.
  21. Yup and you'll be cold when it gets below 50 this winter!
  22. Montgomery County and half inch.
