  1. Anyone know if this will be the clear #1 for highest average dew point / humidity in dc on record? Seems like half the days were 75+ for much of the day - even in these parts that seems unusual? .
  2. 82 dew at Gaithersburg station. What an incredible summer!! Has to be the #1 most humid we’ve ever had. Just spectacular. What’s the all time record dew point around these parts? Low 80s is LEGIT. .
  3. When was the last time a day 10 materialized. I wouldn't get excited yet from this. We don't even know if this depicted will be remotely close to what happens.
  4. Does anybody else think the warming of our bay and ocean is having an impact on our winters and reducing our snow climo? 2 years in a row <1'' in my backyard. I can't say we've had a night that was bone chilling cold either and our highs seem to often be in the low to mid 40s...
  5. Today's DCA being RIC of 30-50 years ago is a very good comparison. Given RVA is 100 miles south of DC, it's pretty sad in a half century.
  6. Climo has changed most likely. Expecting 15 inches of snow in DC from multiple storms isn't realistic IMO. We will always have a chance at a big one given our location to the coast, but boom or bust on storms is something we should get used to.
  7. It's not even that DC is too west. We are too south and that is our biggest downfall. Plenty of places west do just fine. Albany gets 2010 accums every year.
  8. Absolutely crushed in Arlington. Saw sign blow over and trees were bending with torrential rain falling sideways. Worst storm I've seen in years probably.
  9. I feel like I've definitely seen 60 with 3/4 inch hail.
  10. Wow 70 and 1.5 inch hail. Not the typical pity watch. Thank you H2O
  11. Do you have the language in the watch? Winds to 60?
  12. Do y'all cover Hampton roads?
  13. Two historically warm years out of 3, with last year being historically chilly if I remember correctly? Doesn't seem like DC has "average" months all that often in the spring.
  14. @SENC Are you staying put in Wrightsville?
  15. Thanks for the heads up! I might drive to shady side maryland or near gibson island if this thing gets close enough to feel worthwhile impacts.
  16. This is just what I'm looking for. Windy spots along the western shore of the bay that generally do very well wind wise during these type of events/noreasters. Is there anywhere further north? I'm in Moco and that's a little too far south. What about North beach or chesepeake beach?
  17. I will be visiting y'all this weekend. Anyone know any favored windy spots along the bay reasonably close to DC?

  19. One thing is I am sure we see quite a few more storms like this. Feast or famine really is the way it works around these parts.
