Not sure I’m buying it but we’ll see. GFS took a big step towards the euro for Friday-Saturday. Hope the euro holds. Cautiously excited
Saw that too! Interesting. I remember living in S Jersey before the Prez Day weekend blizzard in 2003. Sat morning had 2-3”. Sunday morning the big one started and got 20 more inches.

Yeah, we definitely don't need that.. hopefully the warm air from the coast comes in quicker if that's now excepted
Oh it will but historically it’s hard to get that surface cold air scoured away.

Hopefully it is wrong, but in this area things have to be almost perfect to get a big snow...
I can see sleet being an issue if it really amps up.... Maybe we will get lucky and get the 35mph winds with thunder snow for an extended period of time and have it add up quick ..lol .. who knows ..
Allot still up in the air with this one
GFS has been all in for here for a few days now. 0z actually ticked a tad south from 18z just now. So I think we are solid for 3-6

Latest HRRR keeps warmth around a little longer, cutting back totals
HRRR not reliable. Not trying to be a weenie but it’s not.

18 GFS is a perfect hit for RVA. Snow depth map is insane. Between 2am to 8am avg close to 2” per hour or close to it. Again I’m NOT saying it’ll happen. But GFS has consistently shown snow for days. And Euro, CMC and other models are on board for at least some snow. Yes warm ground etc, but those rates with plummeting temps and the first complete rush hour morning drive in a while will be rough.

Yeah, this is starting to look like the normal sleet fest that we normally get around here.. Maybe a couple inches before change over to sleet the freezing rain/rain
Today will be interesting to see how warm we get ...Forecast is mid 50s
.
I don’t see anyway we hit the mid 50’s. MAYBE 50
