Couple of points here: 18Z European model 500 mb looks terrific. Also, since everyone has been agreeing how bad the GFS has been and most of the other models are showing a strong signal for our area, maybe the signals that show a stronger storm with all that cold air in place makes sense at this point.

Not to sound cliché, but for the Richmond, area that's right where we want it really at this time. The ensembles should be very interesting.

12z ICON fwiw is a blizzard for next week-midweek, with a ton of snow and GFS solid again. Just letting you know what the models are showing. Let's see how it all trends and how Euro does. No final totals yet from CMC but also coming in strong.

This will be my only reply as I'm not going back-and-forth. Parts of RVA got up to 5 inches. So one to two was not correct JUST LIKE MY 3-5 WAS NOT CORRECT because actually it was 1-5 or whatever the max was. Again this will be my only reply regarding this, but OF COURSE it's premature to think there is no chance for something a week away. 90% of folks on here will agree with this. It's not personal it's just weather.

Yes-at this point it's just seeing if the ingredients are still around and they certainly are. Anybody thinking a particular run that happens to miss means a fail is being premature just like a run that shows a foot a week out.

Wow-if we had a category for the worst thread ever started this would win. I just came on here to look how the snow went where I grew up in South Jersey now I live in Virginia and I see this? Despicable! Go Birds and I'll see everybody at the parade! PS-The bad "worst fan thing is so overdone and tired. Can we just retire it already.
