Let's go over this for the third day in a row lol.
It's going to snow today. No weather model has any snow depth even in the coldest spots more than an inch or two. Most places will see a half an inch on grassy surfaces etc. maybe. Snow will come out of this sky but it won't amount to much. I just don't understand why there is any other conversation or any other maps.
So all the weather models are wrong? 12 hours out? You're the type of guy that will come back on here tomorrow and say you were wrong if it does snow tho right?
I mean if you say that out loud it is the RGEM and Icon lol. If it was the opposite and the GFS, the euro, and the nam models were showing it and those other two models were,, we wouldn't even have a thread for this.
...And nams and others lol. I don't understand the surprise about any of this. Heavy wet snow for a brief period of time in March isn't remarkable. It will snow tomorrow, hardly anything will accumulate, and that's it. People who go by the wrong snow maps are the ones that are freaking out and that makes no sense to me. Snow depth on grass maybe and colder surfaces might be a half inch to possibly an inch. Nothing crazy at all.
I just don't understand why people keep saying this is unreasonable. If you're looking at 10:1 maps of course it's unreasonable. But with the temperatures and when the snow is going to fall, why would you look at those maps?- even Kuchera will be wrong.
Snow depth with the GFS and the 12 Z Euro shows a 1/2 to an inch of snow and maybe some lollies a tad higher. All on grass and any colder surfaces bc rates will be heavy according to the models.
I've gone from "no way we see snow" yesterday to "no way we don't see snow" today. Crazy-won't amount to much, but it's going to snow. Couple hours worth
