  1. It was difficult but there was a large open field at the cemetery so that made it somewhat easier to get a measurement. Hourly snowfall measurements certainly would have added up to a higher total.
  2. I do not think they are crap at all. I measured 27.5 in Lawrence in an open field at the cemetery. And keep in mind that measurement took place Tuesday(Feb 7th) afternoon. Friends and I were on the way to the Reservoir in Lawrence to go sledding. To get there we had to walk by the cemetery. We took a yard stick with us to measure the snow. I recall it like it was yesterday lol
  3. Hell no....at least 28-30 inches of snow. Huge drifts. Whiteout conditions for hours. Everything was closed for days. Transportation was halted. You had to be alive and of a certain age to truly understand the impact the Blizzard of 78 had on the Merrimack Valley area. Most of the streets in Lawrence and Methuen looked similar to the one below. And keep in mind that the picture was likely taken a couple of days after the blizzard had ended. My car was completely buried by snow and blowing snow. I could only see part of the antennae.
  4. Summer is usually boring BUT this summer has been exceptionally boring
  5. Same here in Methuen. Yards are in worse shape than in 2020.
  6. Can someone please tell when the Sh** will begin to go sideways????.....asking for a friend...
  7. Exactly, people are just staying inside for the most part.
  8. An instant nomination for post of the year!!! Well done!!
  9. The majority of contractors who work outdoors hate the heat and humidity. As you know, heat and humidity makes any job more difficult to do. Having a house painted in hot and humid weather presents several challenges including curing of the paint and the paint properly adhering to the surface. Perhaps the names of the painters/roofers he spoke with are Moe, Larry, and Curly..
  10. Perhaps a very small area of Methuen got hit hard BUT for the majority of the city it was an ordinary thundershower.
  11. I can only speak for the east side of methuen. Power never went out. No signs of any damage. Described by neighbors as a minor storm. Not a lot of rain. LWM only reported .16....
  12. According to the National Grid power outage map there are 5 customers in Methuen without power ..
  13. Every business sector continues to price gouge consumers.
  14. A certain someone's wife in Tolland..
  15. Something tells me it is you who is quite familiar with taking a peek(notice correct spelling and usage of the word peek)...
  16. With your luck????.....A thousand times more likely is this
