  1. I have a better chance of being in the Sox starting rotation than that happening.
  2. The hurricanes in 1635, 1667,1693 and 1788 may have been major hurricanes. And a close miss in 1869. Others of interest are the 2 hurricanes in 1815 and the hurricane in 1849.
  3. The year where anything and everything will go wrong.......
  4. odds of that happening are.........???
  5. Do you think that line saps some of the energy for later on?
  6. But some DO expect the switch to flip around Sept 1st....
  7. ......And on Sept 1st most of the heat lovers will expect a switch to cool fall weather. Hasn't worked out all that well the last 2 years...
  8. Correct! After a few days those who hope for a repeat of 38 will come to their collective senses and realize how bad the situation is.
  9. Sure, why not? Better to discuss possibilities than posting temp and dew point.
  10. I've never understood why some people want to experience a hurricane on the scale of the 1938 hurricane. . The devastation would be unimaginable. People complained about being locked down during the Covid-19 situation. The aftermath and quality of life following a hurricane similar to the one in 38 would make the lockdown seem as if it was some very minor inconvenience.
  11. At some point I'd like to hear your thoughts on the TS/hurricane drought in New England but that is for a different thread.
  12. Isn't weather always a "maybe" to some degree???
  13. The good thing is you can look for Vlad's HR ball in your yard.......
  14. Had torrential rain in Methuen and a lot of lightning but very little wind.
  15. I'd say the same thing if I noticed my Penske rental truck being towed
  16. Good thinking on your part to rent the Penske truck to transport your homemade radar system!
  17. Taxes on govt pension and SS have to be given strong consideration so I fully understand why PA is appealing to you. Pittsburgh is a great city. Home prices in that area are far more reasonable than in Ma. Great area for hs,college and pro sports.
