In a way that is how Alphazero taught itself to play chess.Alpha zero wasn't programmed to play chess but it learned how to play chess by playing games against itself.

Snow days are likely gone for good in most school districts.

The difference is people expected winter weather back then. Now people go into complete panic mode. School is cancelled even before a flake flies....well before the pandemic.

I completely agree with you. The hype for snowstorms is off the charts. People would lose their minds if a storm similar to the Blizzard of 78 or Superstorm 93 was about to hit the area. In general people are "softer" now days.

Noyes easily has the highest forecasted snow totals. The past 2 days he's been consistently forecasting higher snow totals than the other on air Boston mets.

I have not seen the Queens Gambit but it has gotten rave reviews. The show has sparked a resurgence in chess. Likely the largest resurgence since the days of Fisher. Check out Chess.com

Dr Dolittle isn't a fan of winter weather so I am not sure why he feels the need to read the forum during the winter months.

I agree. Earlier today Eric Fisher was on 98.5 The Sports Hub...it would be great if the forum could attract additional mets. My go to site for chess is Chess.com. On chess.com there are many international masters and grandmasters. People on the site are very appreciative of the opportunity to interact with them.
