My personal prediction- tomorrow night’s Happy hour gfs will bring back a MECS for Presidents Day weekend for us- most will miss it because they will be locked into the Super Bowl and parties but Monday will be a busy board day

This board- It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair.

This time last year- we were tracking when the first 80 degree day would be- so at the min this February is much more exciting

In case anyone didn’t know and was afraid to ask - The Southern Oscillation Index (SOI) is a standardized index based on the observed sea level pressure (SLP) differences between Tahiti and Darwin, Australia. The SOI is one measure of the large-scale fluctuations in air pressure occurring between the western and eastern tropical Pacific (i.e., the state of the Southern Oscillation) during El Niño and La Niñaepisodes. In general, smoothed time series of the SOI correspond very well with changes in ocean temperatures across the eastern tropical Pacific. The negative phase of the SOI represents below-normal air pressure at Tahiti and above-normal air pressure at Darwin. Prolonged periods of negative (positive) SOI values coincide with abnormally warm (cold) ocean waters across the eastern tropical Pacific typical of El Niño (La Niña) episodes

We track the good patterns for a month ahead of time and if they do get here they last about 3 days. And yes I know where I live so no need to be snarky. It’s just the facts about weather in coastal mid Atlantic

True- snow was around for several days- great for my son to actually go sledding in coastal Delaware. It was great and something that certainly doesn’t happen every winter here

I think we have a new acronym to use- besides the standards like NAO, MJO, SER - I think we now can use PTR- (perfect track rainstorm)

Yeah but his advantage is that teams in the nfc haven’t faced him that year. If they play the Niners - it will not be easy at all. Niners will be ready and familiar with the Ravens.
