I have family in NW Valdosta, they're reporting flooding and some road closures. They still have power, but are in a newer development and not really in a rural area.

Yesterday: RDU hit 100, but it only got to 96.5 IMBY. .22" of rain, enough for the garden. 68.9 this morning before the drive in to work, felt amazing, windows were down.

Yesterday's high was 79.3F, only saw 0.06" of rain. Not enough for the garden, especially with the temps in the coming days. 8/3 was even cooler, 77.8F for a high.

91.3 at 1pm for a high today. No rain for the past 6 days. The lawn is crunchy.

Awful smoke today, I could smell it - needed some eye drops this morning. High of 96.7 at 3:15pm. No precip since 7/14.

Yesterday: 98.0F at 5pm, the highest so far this year. 0.13" of rain from a late storm with plenty of lightning and thunder.

Smoke today was the worst, I smelled it for the first time. Didn't smell it at all when it first came around a couple weeks ago. High of 92 at 4:15pm today. No measurable rain for 3 days, the last recorded was 0.06" on 06/26.

Hottest day of the year at 93.2 at 2pm. No rain for the day. Only at 0.06" for the month, looking forward to next weeks forecast.
