interesting the effects of the smoke blocking the sun temps dropped in june peak heating with no clouds and nw winds...

smoke is so dense the temp dropped 3 degrees in the park last hour at the peak of afternoon heating ..

The smoke has become thick enough that it is also preventing full solar insolation. Temperatures have been slow to rebound sicne this morning with most areas in the 60s. Highs should still reach the lower 70s close to the coast, but think most interior locations will struggle to rise much above 70 given latest trends with the smoke

good thing temps are down because of all the smoke..you can always find a positive out of a negative situation..

as much as i hate it maybe being 95 degrees with a southwest would not be such a bad thing in the nyc area...

when it is hot in the summer you would be relieved when cooler dryer air mass came in from canada not this year...

what a eerie sight looking out the window.. you would think dense fog has rolled in.. but dewpoints are low it's all haze .. and smoke..
