FWIW, the RRFS A is up and running again. its 12z run had what discrete cells do fire in Central IA rather than closer to the border.
all the cells it shows are rocketing due northwards. they are either elevated initially or become elevated pretty quickly after crossing I80

B-. Christmas blizzard was cool. January was blah. February was great with the snow and rollercoaster temps. March held onto the cold for a bit too long.

With the Day 3 update I'm wondering now if Tuesday's initiation (if any) will be too far west for me to chase, even though it should be quite a bit later than last Friday's.
Not really keen on a west of I-35 target after working 3AM-noon. Was one of the things that made Friday a no-brainer go for me.
Go to RFD and hope for some warm front magic. Then get up Wednesday morning at home and watch the QLCS roll in

Would be great if the RRFS comes back online soon in time for the upcoming severe event. Seems to be offline still since Friday
They are only turning it on for severe events so I would assume it will run again at 0Z tonight or 12Z tomorrow.

I think this might be the first day one high risk day with two non-contiguous high risk areas. At least I can't find any others.
the initial 4/14/12 day 1 outlook had 2 high risk areas that got merged

Got about an inch of snow overnight. Hope it all melts today.

The timing on this system is slowing down as well. More and more of it looks to be falling after sunrise on Saturday.

These aren’t snow squalls in the traditional sense. More of an omnipresent haze in the sky from all the flurries

504 thickness line will be rotating into Wisconsin Friday night, guessing that's very rare for mid March

They are all N of the warm front or quickly crossing it again. Will have to place yourself in the right spot because these will be elevated soon after forming
