cold through the 20th.  Can we get some warmer weather after that.  Looks like we may get the cool March, warm April combo, which has been rare to get around these parts

Got 5.9” at the house.  Driveway is shoveled and sun is out to start melting the snow 

7.1” at MSN and 10.1@ at MKE as of 6 AM

2.8" so far.  Came down nicely from 8-930.  Got about half of it during that stretch.  Rates are starting to diminish now and we should be able to get a couple more inches over the next 5 hours or so

the back edge seems to be making good progress through Iowa. thinking this may be one where the accumulating snows end earlier than expected

the timing on this is moving up.  What looked like a completely overnight event west of Lake Michigan now looks like it will be begin early Thursday afternoon

0Z GFS is definitely wagons south.  Gets solid snow down to the I80 corridor.

A cool mid month pattern looks to kick off with a significant snowstorm.  GFS putting up laughable totals north of the Wisconsin/Illinois border but regardless this looks like it will require advisories/warnings.

Getting a mix of rain and snow here.  Temps are 35 so nothing sticking

For February in Madison: 23rd warmest on record, 6th wettest on record.  Snow ended up slightly below average at 11"

For winter as a whole: 15th warmest on record, 13th wettest on record. Snow was slightly above average at 40.4".

(Since 2000 we've had 6 of the 20 warmest winters here, while during the same time we've only had 1 of the coldest 20 winters- 2013/14)

Milwaukee had their 14th warmest February and 5th warmest winter on record.  In terms of precip they had their 2nd wettest February and 10th wettest winter.

going to have some good February and winter stats for Southern Wisconsin.  The big themes are warm and wet

March 10-20 looks cold.  It remains to be seen what happens after that, but the pattern should remain active through the month.
