Boston made it. We had a nice 8 inch dump but ORH may have been fringed plus a few other smaller events. That’s an underrated winter!

Thanks man! However I should point out that I was meticulous last winter-it’ was easy and unfortunately not frequent... My only weak spot will be if I have to get up after doing euro pbp to measure. I may miss an early AM report but wth-if it’s snowing that hard I’ll just wait for it to stop before sleeping...,lol. It turns out the side work gig is now only 1 day per week. When I found out I rejoiced...lol.

2004-05 had the rarity of above normal snows in every individual month November to March. We kicked off the season with a nice 3-6 event Veterans Day weekend. Max (capecod04) had just moved to the area and messenger (RIP) was active that season as well.

Looking at the NPAC I feel encouraged. Warming in the GOAK, Warming also in the PDO region. As of this moment, we could be heading into a big winter if all these trends continue.

So the "bodies in the streets" thing. I'm almost done with the book-"The Great Influenza" by John Barry. 1918-19 was some off the wall shit. Literally bodies in the streets. Dead people rotting in many homes. It's the equivalent of 1.5 million dead in the current pandemic. Really frightening with the same responses by many in government although medical science was nowhere close to what it is today. Great read.

Well now we’re in the same region but your snow should be double mine. Gonna spend some time in the next 6 months checking out snowy locations close enough to medical care...lol.

The funny thing is I could tell Phineas was seething when I was in full weenie mode for that clipper dumping a widespread 6+ 12/31/08. Must have been pre sub forums and he was annoyed from MD.

Lol...I remember 2014 September being dry and Kevin posting Epstein correlation of the higher probability of a sub 50 inch snow winter. That on the doorstep of the snowiest winter on record...lol.

I think March of 56 through the entire winter of 1960-61 (well December through 2/4) solidified our snow hunger.

Boulder is higher vs Denver so I think it’s a lot more common. Boulder averages 85 inches of snow per winter.

It’s all about NAO (sorry Tip but sometimes it’s the difference between fun and frustration). Had last years NAO cooperated we’d have been a lot happier in April covid notwithstanding.

I had a dream that the first snow happened....it was a happy dream. It was a snow squall that had brief low visibility and then cleared out. It was sometime in November in the dream, it’s coming!

Yeah that’s how it used to be here but covid brought enough resources so they can do it normally this time. Gonna be surreal not having all these devices that required the security of Fort Knox...lol.

Thanks Jeff! That’s my first thought. Although I do have this job that may be up to 16 hours/week so not completely unbound but 2 days on/5 days off seems doable especially since part of the 2 days is from home.

Did they find your replacement for you to train? Mine feel into place and for the rest of the month I’m transitioning. Congrats!
