I'm going to do some time in Stowe at some point. Freak needs to get a real estate license so I can give him some business. I was in LA for 15 years and started interviewing for jobs on the east coast. The first one was DC and my perspective was it snowed plenty considering where my prior 15 years were. But the concept of upslope and synoptic snow on so many days is really appealing to me. Plus summers are really nice. Damn-8 more work days-and I'm waiting for HR to mess this up......gotta baby sit every process. Taxes in VT are really high though. Here, a big chunk of my retirement income is exempt from state income taxes and property taxes in my town are not bad at all.

Thanks man! However I should point out that I was meticulous last winter-it’ was easy and unfortunately not frequent... My only weak spot will be if I have to get up after doing euro pbp to measure. I may miss an early AM report but wth-if it’s snowing that hard I’ll just wait for it to stop before sleeping...,lol. It turns out the side work gig is now only 1 day per week. When I found out I rejoiced...lol.

So the "bodies in the streets" thing. I'm almost done with the book-"The Great Influenza" by John Barry. 1918-19 was some off the wall shit. Literally bodies in the streets. Dead people rotting in many homes. It's the equivalent of 1.5 million dead in the current pandemic. Really frightening with the same responses by many in government although medical science was nowhere close to what it is today. Great read.

Boulder is higher vs Denver so I think it’s a lot more common. Boulder averages 85 inches of snow per winter.

Thanks Jeff! That’s my first thought. Although I do have this job that may be up to 16 hours/week so not completely unbound but 2 days on/5 days off seems doable especially since part of the 2 days is from home.

The setting of the snow is amazing. I had to go to Hopkinton and from my house through that area that was in the band longer than me I couldn’t tell a depth difference. OTOH it’s nice to have all roads to pavement quickly in the mid March sun.

I imagine BOS will adjust the 0.37 qpf giving 14.8 snow. No one Boston had 40:1....lol. First half was under 10:1 probably.

Hi Don-thanks as usual for your wonderful insight. For the record, BOS added 0.3 after midnight so Logan is 0.1 away from 1906 and 0.5 from 1960...indeed 1.1 from 1967. Top 3 are big mountains to climb but I think we move into 4th place without much effort.

Winter wonderland for the ides of March. Logan now with 55+ for the season and something looming possible for next week. Had we somehow gotten this NAO a month earlier we’d have partied like it was 2015.
