  1. Pleasant high temperature of 74 degrees, now 68.
  2. Chilly low of 46 degrees here.
  3. The sun was low in the sky making it large. The smoke haze made it so you could stare at it. I did not see the red ring the picture shows but a large orange ball was pretty cool to see.
  4. Sun was quite impressive to look at a little while ago. Behind the haze, it was a large orange ball that you could stare at.
  5. What a change in the weather here. From a high of 77 this afternoon, now it is a chilly, breezy 60.
  6. 1.91 inches here so far.
  7. Freeze and frost warning for most of the area away from the water. I'm thinking upper 30s in my backyard with possible spotty frost.
  8. 45 degrees here this morning.
  9. Frost advisories for much of interior NY and northern Pa.
  10. 86 my high today. After a mild day tomorrow, it looks like the next week or so should be pretty much normal.

  17. Down to 29.10 here, getting some thunder.
  18. 3.30 inches of rain here so far, still raining.
  19. 2.03 inches of rain here.
  20. 51 degrees, wind gusting to 31mph and rain. Qualifies for a miserable weather day.
  21. Storm total up to 1.76 here.
  22. I believe there are examples of the UHI all the time. The next time there is a quiet clear night, check the temperature difference between the rural area and the nearest urban city. Having said that both are probably rising at similar rates over the years because our climate in the northeast, at least as far as I am concerned, has gotten milder and wetter.
  23. 1.27 inches of rain here so far and raining hard.
  24. Looks like this chilly damp weather will enable April to not be the warmest on record. (Central Park) Still the overall mild trend continued.
