69.4 degrees here

Currently 46 degrees here. Inland temps still in the 50s, except Central Park of course at 61.
-
57 degrees and windy here.
-
Looks like a return to winter like temperatures toward the end of next week.

rain changing to snow in elevated Boone N.C. https://www.resortcams.com/webcams/king-street-boone/

Interesting conclusion at the end: Conclusion This is, I’ll admit, an unscientific survey, but no one (to my knowledge) has attempted to even research the subject in much detail. This is probably because, with the change in measurement techniques over time, it is not possible to conclusively say that any one part of the country has become snowier or less so over the past 120 years. This shows numerous cities and snowfall by decade for over 100 years. Looks like some areas of the northeast get more snow now than 100 years ago. https://www.wunderground.com/cat6/US-Snowfall-1900-2019-Decade-Decade-Look

Since the 50 inch snowfall season of 2014-15, and not including this year, Central Park has averaged almost 27 inches of snow. This is just about normal
-
Current temperatures White plains 27, farmingdale 30, Poughkeepsie 22, Newark 32, and in the heat island Central Park 40°
-
60 degrees. At least the projected price of $8 a gallon for heating oil did not happen.
-
Ir is so mild that even the 30mph wind does not feel bad.
-
I know it is wishful thinking, but if that storm passing to our Southeast gets close enough with heavy enough precipitation and some chilly air in place, maybe it could snow.
-
Got up to 58 here, now down to 57
-
In a normal winter Long Island would probably get some snow Sunday. The storm is off the coast.
-
Big range in temperatures this morning across small distances. Central Park 60 and Newark 51. Poughkeepsie low 30s and some places a short distance away in the 40s. 52 degrees here after getting up to 54 during the night.
-
Maybe a glimmer of hope for a pattern change to sustained cold, in about 2 weeks. If it happens, it will be the time of year when I am normally looking forward to spring.
-
Heat island in full force this morning. Currently 44 in NYC and 28 here and most suburbs upper 20s to about 30.
-
Something to watch, at least for now.
-
Still seems to be 2 to 10 below in much of the area around Ottawa
-
A little radiational cooling sending temperatures in the cold inland areas, well down into the teens and even some single digits, before the mild air moves in.
-
So far this month my average is a high of 33.4 and a low of 14.4. That is an average of 23.9 I should take a picture before those wintry temperatures turn much more mild.
-
The worst of the cold was just a little northeast of our area. Some of the temperatures on the coast to our north and east are really as low as I can remember seeing. Below zero at coastal locations on Cape Cod, Nantucket, eastern Ct. and Rhode Island. Zero at Montauk, -9 in Boston.
-
Exactly, I am now in a lull.
-
Wind seems to be getting worse, gusting to 37mph now
-
11 degrees here
