  1. No prob. Normally, I'm meh on snow flurries/showers aside from snow tv, but this was a legitimate snow squall. However, I think the mod/heavy portion was localized and only lasted a few minutes.
  2. Yea, I was just looking it up (this area definitely got in on that squall): https://www.nohrsc.noaa.gov/interactive/html/map.html?ql=station&zoom=&loc=39.403+N%2C+77.293+W&var=snowfall_48_h&dy=2024&dm=1&dd=15&dh=0&snap=1&o11=1&o9=1&lbl=m&mode=pan&extents=us&min_x=-80.316666666669&min_y=37.449999999996&max_x=-76.200000000002&max_y=39.766666666663&coord_x=++-77.293&coord_y=+++39.403&zbox_n=39.403722222218505&zbox_s=39.403722222218505&zbox_e=-77.29348958333543&zbox_w=-77.29348958333543&metric=0&palette=1&width=800&height=450&nw=800&nh=450&h_o=0&font=0&js=1&uc=0
  3. It was probably a coating to a 1/2", but more than a trace here (at least more than 0.1", I'm pretty sure about that). It even started to accumulate on patches of the road.
  4. Did you catch the 1/14 squall? At least imby, it coated the grass and was starting to accumulate on the road a little bit.
  5. Thing is, we can rely on 3 seasons here, but winter is hit/miss. Having a winter with at least the standard 2-3 snowstorms completes the puzzle.
  6. I got bullseye'd from that snow squall on Sunday, too. That one set the table. No complaints snow-wise...this was about as quality as it gets here for winter weather.
  7. In honor of this week, I bought Avalanche amber ale from Breckenridge brewery.
  8. This streamer was kind of ridiculous, tbh. It's been snowing for like 2 hrs from this band and still snowing lightly with noticeable flakes. I lucked out. Nice bookend to a wintry week.
  9. This has been a flush hit. Still going here with large flakes.
  10. This is prob gonna add another inch…maybe even a couple inches in Gambrill. Started sticking to the roads on my drive home.
  11. Yes this is legitimately moderate.
  12. Getting streamer’d. Stat padding in progress.
  13. Sun is now peaking through here. Still very light snow as well. Let’s if any streamers can survive the hills.
  14. There's gonna be 6-8" bullseyes at this rate somewhere in Central MD. That SW ended up beelining the region.
  15. It's been pretty good here for the most part...I think I've been on the nw edge. Frederick reported 2" at 7am and up until 30 mins ago it was coming down steady to moderate at times.
  16. Looks like a final reinforcement arrives in Frederick around Noon'ish. After that, then maybe some periodic snow showers into the evening. Wintry day.
  17. Lightening up quite a bit here for now. Looks like the models targeting moco/hoco (aka precip magnets) were spot on.
  18. Just took a stroll around the hood. Measured 2.5” on my way back. Upwards of 6” in shaded spots from the previous event. I’m about 3 miles nw of dt Frederick.
  19. Just measured 2” in a couple spots. Chilly out there with a little breeze lol
  20. I’m relying on Martinsburg to Hagerstown to keep the bands flowing.
  21. Nice, steady snow has returned with healthy looking dendrites.
  22. Challenge accepted. Once it gets light out, I’ll prob check things out again. I could see things staying light. Radar seems to have overshot or just not catching some of the lighter returns from these past couple events, for whatever reason (lower clouds, etc, not sure).
  23. Little less than I would have expected, but a long duration light snow from here on is acceptable.
  24. Just went outside to investigate…better flake size than I expected since radar showed me being on the northern edge of the goods. I’d say about 1.5” so far…unofficially.
