  1. Models have What an evolution built up this -AO in the last 1-2 days http://mp1.met.psu.edu/~fxg1/ENSHGTAVGNH_12z/ensloopmref.html
  2. There was never really energy fo worldwide stormsystems in my life - it always underperformed. in the 1990s, there was some good NW-SE moving systems "Clippers" that made snowfall more exciting. I did research once and found that on time dates - 11-11,11 for example, in Las Vegas, or Los Angelos, or New York City, there was 500mb anomalies, and these happened mostly in the 2010s and 1950s.
  3. The weather here is unbelievable, widespread drought coming.
  4. Arctic ice melt has me concerned, unless we have some sort of consciousness awakening it's probably going to be an anti-climatic Winter.
  5. The eastern subsurface stuff may only be a glitch.. models going la nina not right imo.
  6. The atmosphere is still very much Nino, although -AAM 500mb is somewhat appearing. You have to wonder how many "parallel realities" of enso there have been since the Winter lol.
  7. It rained a little here, now there are clear skies. Will have to start counting the times it rains,: 1.
  8. Good point about the rain, what should we do about a large scale nation/world wide drought?
  9. 5 waves rotating around -NAO.. should be interesting
  10. We start August off with a raging -NAO Hopefully this is a sign for the Winter, it looks like Weak-Moderate El Nino conditions
  11. This has been happening a lot to me.. watch at your own risk (rated X lol). It would make an interesting case study. Notice how the rain disappears over northern Maryland
  12. Slight risk for thunderstorms today.. NYC to DC looks like the opposite of what I'm experiencing fwiw
  13. Nice Fall pattern actually showing up
  14. This is kind of a disappointing time of year. The last few days have been especially cool. SSTs are record warm, 2005-like. ENSO is cooling too.
  15. Both the Pacific and Atlantic are opposite of last year, kind of a flat lining I think. The PNA was really persistently negative 2017-2018, and really changed last Nov-Dec to more neutral, or late 70's-like. It's a different pattern, I expect us to find other planets lol.
  16. It looks like another cold wave is developing in the subsurface.
  17. NAO has been negative since April This means it will be a SE ridge Winter lol
  18. Radar is showing moderate rain here, but nothing is falling.
  19. err.. too much water to the west to have a good thunderstorm day.
  20. Should be a really nice day for storms, today. I'm wanting a MCS/derecho though.
