  1. Seems to be some chatter on the flocks of geese seen recently flying south so late, in the mid Atlantic forum. Maybe mother nature is trying to tell us something.
  2. I think DT is optimistic about this pattern. THIS WEEK IN WEATHER 12/29/23 now Gluten Free ! https://youtu.be/fUrwklM858w
  3. As long as the gorilla in the gulf doesn't slip harmlessly out to sea. I'm sure as soon as one develops the NWS in State College will downplay the event as a nothing burger. As they always do.
  4. That with the threat of snow will make this thread very active...once again.
  5. At least we are saving on the heating bill. But others are having mental health issues, meltdowns from the lack of snow.
  6. I guess we will see in about a week which one is close to what actually happens.
  7. Yes, according to my NWS forecast temps will be running above normal too.
  8. Now we wait for the snowstorms...if they ever will materialize.
  9. How much rain did you get from the event? Is the drought over in the ville?
  10. .74 for the rain event. 5.09 for the month and 43.47 for the year (which is probably higher as rain gauge was not recording in one event during the summer for unknown reason)

  15. Are flood watches gonna be posted again? NWS has me getting possibly 3" of rain till Wednesday evening.
  16. Seems like it's the same ole story year after year. Biizz will be devastated!
  17. I wish I had some Geese, as they make good "watch dogs."
  18. Yesterday afternoon I seen a huge flock of geese (I estimate about 100 or so) headed south in a perfect V. The same thing happened last year in December about a week or 2 before we had that cold outbreak before Christmas. I wonder if this is trying to tell us something.
  19. It also doesn't help us when were on the cusp of a major winter storm and all the surrounding NWS offices have winter storm watches/warnings out and NWS State College does not. And their discussion usually seems to downplay the event coming up. Talk about a mental letdown when you see that. I wonder how many times we will see that this winter season. But they always seem to be late to the party.
