  1. Flakes are the size of quarters, half an inch has fallen so far.
  2. Carpet and tile guys are a bummer for me in Upper Dauphin County right next to Northumberland County (that I can throw a stone into that county) in the accumulation dept.
  3. The snow that was falling earlier that produced a coating was like grains of fine sand, now there are big flakes coming down.
  4. Temp has dropped to 32 after going up to 36 during the night, There are now flakes in the air the last 10 minutes.
  5. The wording in the Winter Storm Warning from NWS: * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The heaviest snow will fall between 2 and 6 PM with rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour possible.
  6. It sucks when we get into the middle and latter part of March when it's supposed to be getting warmer and winter cold temps wanna hang on. I think winter will make a comeback...when were ready for spring.
  7. DT said the first 2 or 3 weeks in February doesn't look good for winter.
  8. I was surprised that the temperature has warmed up overnight 34 this morning
  9. Post the map as I'm on this phone and it won't let me do to much on this old phone. Now we wait for further guidance from our premium forecaster.
  10. The American Storm @BigJoeBastardi 2 forecasts made. One early week using analog blend of Kennedy and Reagan snow events, and now the adjustment. Changed 2 numbers ( acy down, maybe too much, Boston up a bit). 20-30 to 1 ratios near 528 thk/-8c 850 temps should fluff up amounts Correct analogs can Prevent model swing whipsaw
  11. JB is going for the higher amounts in Pa. He said that an hour ago.
  12. I just hope this storm delivers. I hope it's not like the forecasted rain the last few months. Everytime it looked like we were gonna get good amount of rain, when game time came amounts were lowered.
  13. The target in the 'burg is not always substainable.
  14. Yes I hear that too. They say well my weather app says no snow tomorrow, what you talking about?
  15. I guess one thing temps will be below freezing before, during and after the storm. So every flake will count. And I assume blowing and drifting will become a problem in exposed areas. Especially where I live. Plows are absent alot of the time on secondary roads including state Penndot plowed roads. And with the holiday on Monday, there will be no hurry to plow. But my wife is an essential US government employee that has to get to work in the wee hours of Monday morning.
