  1. @Rainforrestyour going to need a bigger boat.
  2. Went by to look at the Pigeon river. Being in a drought here has helped but the river has risen several feet already. If we get an additional 6 inches we are screwed here in Haywood and that looks likely currently. All stay safe out there.
  3. Relieved an additional .70 inches this morning so far. 3.82 storm total so far.
  4. Yeah we've got major flooding already with several spots already seeing 6 to 14 inches of rainfall before Helene even arrives. That's in WNC in and around Asheville.
  5. Had another inch overnight hear. We had a bit of a lull were everything was to our east. Brings my total to 3.12 inches currently... will definitely help with the drought.
  6. Dang that's impressive and all before Helene gets here.
  7. Damn man! That is crazy! Great job capturing that!
  8. Anybody else getting some gusty winds tonight?
  9. Yeah definitely sending prayers and just hoping everyone is prepared for the worst. This will likely be a catastrophic event for a large portion of the viewing area IF things turn out the way they are forecast. Hope everyone stays safe and vigilant.
  10. I'm getting into what you've been getting thus evening. Definitely adding up quick.
  11. Raining buckets out there again. Starting to get into that training effect that is coming from Transylvania county.
  12. For posterity I'm posting this in here but I've received altogether 1.60 inches of rainfall this week. On the lower side than most but I'm not complaining.
  13. Yeah they say this will probably rival Ivan for us here.
  14. From @NavarreDonin the main tropical thread. Freaking amazing. Perspective on the size of Helene, the TS wind field is jaw dropping! Hurricane-force winds extend outward up to 25 miles (35 km) from the center and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 345 miles (555 km).
  15. So far today I've received 1.35 inches of rainfall. Not bad for a late start.
  16. Just spoke to an Emergency service coordinator for Haywood county. He told me they are expecting some spots to get 16 to 18 inches of rainfall and possibly be as bad as the 2004 hurricanes that came through...
  17. Well hopefully with the drought and maybe they've made some room for the excess water.
  18. Yeah just be careful. Really stuff Really is going to go downhill from Tomorrow afternoon through Friday morning. The bad thing is that these freaking tropical storms always hit worst at night.
  19. Tropical storm warning now... Sent from my SM-G998U using Tapatalk
