From today’s Euro Weeklies, here’s the 10 mb winds: next major SSW ~March 4-5 followed by a dip of the mean way down to -10 m/s during ~3/8-10, lowest this season for any of the progged SSWs beating yesterday’s -8. Many members dip to sub -15. Then the mean stays weak the rest of March. Will the NAO/AO respond by also dipping?

Lows of 33 yesterday and 34 today here. Those are ~10 BN. A couple more lows in the 30s are quite possible.
Yesterday’s high was 63 with plenty of sun. The next two days look pretty similar with dewpoints in the upper 20s to 30s and sunny skies. Absolutely gorgeous and great for the outdoors! I wish it were like this all year round.

That's really cold for yall down there. We've been in the same boat. Comfortable highs but cold at night.  Since Saturday We've had lows anywhere from 16 to 20 consistently. Had a low this morning of 18.

Found it.  1992.  @Daniel Boonelooks like another stalled (or close to it) slp along a sharp cold front.  My apologies to everyone w/ this -> This was early May!!!   LOL.  Just having some fun.  Most of the snow fell above 2000'.  Mt Pisgah had 61" of snow.  That is mind boggling, AND they dealt with mixing issues at times.  I do know that Beauty Spot near Newport can get absolutely hammered during March.  Again, sharp cold fronts can produce at times.

    Another great write-up...

This was a very memorable storm here in Haywood.  As reading the write up it's mentions Haywood and all the snow we got even in the Valley. I was only 7 but my mom told me we where out of school for a week. People were stranded everywhere.  It's Snowed more than a foot up in the mountains in the area.

Without further ado folks after following this particular period with lots of enjoyment for several weeks, an important milestone has arrived for me for 2/18-9.

Also, I currently see no threats down the road at least as of this point. There are no longer any encouraging signs and also it is getting late. This may be it for this winter.

You've done a wonderful job Larry. Very much appreciated.

I updated that post...you can read the rest of it.  LOL.  It may just be confluence.  It does tend to happen there, but normally it is on the other side of the mountain.  Options would be open pit, new gas furnace, hydro demotion, or their waste water treatment plant.  But it is right on top of it if I am reading that map correctly.  Again, they make stuff that keeps us all safe and gets dropped from planes during shock and awe.

Oh yeah I understand and I know exactly what you are saying.  The paper mill I worked at was kind of like that. Right on the river, waste water plant, lots of boilers and furnaces,  we practically made our own weather in the winter.

I tried all the windows I could think of on GOES channel of RAMMB/CIRA page and the only imagery I could find that had something a little different was splint window difference:

Apparently that can be used to show moisture under clear skies.

This is definitely fascinating especially in our area.  I've seen us here in the mountains have moderate snow with absolutely nothing showing on radar because the moisture is so close to the ground.  Kind of like a fog precipitation cloud.  Very interesting for sure.
