    Yeah we've had some rain around us in Hazelwood but that's it. Nice cloud cover to beat back the temps. Fall will be knocking on the door next week.

    It's extremely early in the season for the first of September but the indices are falling in place as well to see a significant cool down or early Fall weather...

    Yeah 2005 was definitely a good winter that I remember. A lot better than our previous. I like that we finally might see a weak ENSO steering current instead of moderate or super. This latest torch is pretty spot on and I'm seeing signs of the northern jet coming alive already...

    I know it seems like that. What it's been 3 years since Raleigh had measurable snowfall? Crazy for sure.

    Been watching the NAO this summer. It really hasn't made a big jump from one end or the other. In past summers people have said a really strong negative in July bode well for winter. Frankly that was bullcrap. Current it's hovering right around neutral which we will see.

    Good Lord! It's 1 pm on August 21st under clear skies and the temp is 68 degrees... Absolutely beautiful!

    What a freaking amazing day today! Had a high of 68 in the middle of August under bluebird clear skies! You can't get any better than that and our low tomorrow morning is forecast for 49 degrees! Might set a record low!

    Not as cold here. We got down to 56 with some on and off showers through the night. Nice and refreshing though.

    Getting some NW flow showrs today with temps in the low to mud 60s.

    You know that will and can change but we are still in August too. Heck Ashevilles average highs are still in the mid 80s.

    This week is going to be straight out of late September. Most of everyone is going to be 15 to 20 degrees below normal. Several will see there first seasonal lows in the 40s.
