    We can and have done really well in overrunning type events. Seems like most every system has been juiced this season. Even the small snow event two weeks ago was a prime example.

    Yeah and the crazy thing is that all the indicies are in the wrong direction.

    Yeah especially this season that has been the norm.

    Yeah nothing to worry about. Today will be some fluctuations but I fully expect the precipitation field to move north.

    Yeah as mentioned this is far from being nailed down. We have seen this year after year. A northward trend is most likely with the precipitation coverage. We have a lot of time for things to change for better or worst. Really things should be much more clear by tomorrow afternoon.

    Yeah as Franklin mentioned that was a great storm for about all the mountains. Most picked up a foot to about a foot and a half then it got cold and snowed again two days later. The snow stayed around for about 2 weeks.

    We actually have some tiny flakes flying currently with a temp of 36.

    Yeah it did big time. The wind really picked up also.

    Temp dropping off here. Down to 44 degrees with lows clouds rolling back in.

    Dang well that sucks. Yeah we have sun and clouds here in Haywood. Current temp is 58 degrees.

    This afternoon actually turned out decent. Some sun and no rain lol ill take it.

    Call me crazy but I think we see a sizable shift in the pattern come the first of March.

    Oh I know. Iv seen it snow 10 inches the second week in April. We are in the mountains and not the low lands...

    Thats an interesting map. A sharp cutoff in parts of Haywood, Madison, and Buncombe county. Its amazing the enhancement of the southern escarpment does for precipitation values.

    You are probably right. We can always pull a rabbit out of the hat though in early spring but time is not on our side.

    The next 2 to 3 weeks are going to be crap with the pattern. Literally every indicy is going to be against us.

    Yeah could be. With our changing climate who knows but these localized areas around the mountains do get a heavy dose of rainfall. The micro climate around here is amazing. It really should be studied more.

    Funny you say that because that is what Rosman is basically classified as.

    Yeah in that area you have to look hard for sure but just north of there isn't as bad. Yeah when I was up there it can flat out lay the snow down.

    Housing around there is very affordable. That is a huge tourist town in Wisconsin. A good place to do what you are talking about.

    Ended up with about 1.5 inches here. Further toward Balsam really got it good. A nice wintery ass appeal for the day.

    Snowfall intensity has really ramped up.
