  1. Good stuff Hunter. Im liking these early season cold air masses.
  2. Man I like the look of the 5H pattern on the euro. That is one heck of a trough even for the middle of winter.
  3. Yeah I agree. Its early and the models have only been trying to grasp the pattern as a whole. Its early but im glad we are getting cold air in here already.
  4. I really like the pattern the euro is spitting out. Not concentrating on precipitation but the 500 pattern as a whole.
  5. With this last rain I had 2.74 inches of rainfall total. I had a dusting of snow yesterday morning with a low of 26 degrees.
  6. Significant drops in temperature in Haywood. Off a high of 68 down to 51 degrees in a hurry. The wind is picking up.
  7. Man its hammering here in Haywood. Absolutely pouring the rain. Heads up for Buncombe county its coming.
  8. Will do! I plan on going up to Fines Creek or Max patch tonight to catch some flakes. Should be pretty easy though. The temps are going to start crashing soon.
  9. Both the NAM and the GFS look good for some backend flakes tonight. The wind is going to rip and the temps are going to plummet this afternoon so get ready.
  10. The euro was downright cold overnight. The GFS has been going back and fourth and what to do. Exciting times though.
  11. Oh we are in no drought at all here. We are still running much above average. We did get a bit dry but the last few weeks we have seen over 2 to 3 inches of rainfall before this.
  12. Its that time of year when we usually congregate back to the forum. It is nice seeing old and new posters here in the mountain forum.
  13. A flash flood watch from Haywood county south into Georgia. A lot of rain coming our way with an enhanced southern slope to really ring out as much moisture as possible.
  14. The 12 GFS is throwing out a few flakes for Thursday night and then some upslope snow for the 3rd also with another cold front pushing in. Nothing major at this time but it will be nice to see it steadily cold with a few flakes in the air. The NAM is on board for tomorrow night also and looks a bit more impressive than the GFS.
  15. Well iv got my first chance of snow Thursday night on the P&C forecast...
  16. Yeah iv been noticing that as well. Especially in the higher elevations around the Boone area. Also im liking how the Euro kind of reloads the trough in the East. The GFS does not do that so we will see what happens but this seasons in seasons weather is damn near perfect and something we really haven't seen for this time if the year much lately.
  17. A beautiful frosty cold morning with a low of 29 degrees. The coldest of the season.
  18. Too far ahead to tell but congratulations on getting married.
  19. Yeah the colors around Haywood have really popped off since last week.
