  1. Damn, let's hang out ... this barn is exactly what I'm planning too.
  2. Anything south of the red lines is a waste of snow to a snowmobiler. No trails. No one is even reporting conditions in NE Michigan. No snow.
  3. My interests are mostly around snowmobiling. There's very little upside to the storm at this point. 12 to 15 inches hitting corn fields don't do much for me. I'd rather get rain and have west Michigan trails get 15+. I just trailer out, there's nowhere to trailer to besides Canada and they aren't letting anyone in for recreational reasons.
  4. I'd rather get missed altogether than the 4 inches the GFS shows for me.
  5. I was trying to find the NWS news archives, but locally I don't think I have had the same luck as downriver.
  6. My comment was a bit of an overreaction. 6 years of struggling to crack 6 inches gets to you.
  7. I'm looking at more than 3 to 5 at the moment, but the advisory tier is right on the doorstep with another S bump from the GFS.
  8. Wind on a 2 laner for everything but the front windshield and sides. Sure
  9. The 6z basically gives me 3 to 5 inches now. Detroit would still be 12ish. Uhg. Not even worth cleaning off the car for that.
  10. I use the snow for snowmobiling and there's no trail system south of me to even drive to if that happens. A bit early to stress over it.
  11. If this shifts 50 miles south I'll lose this storm.
  12. 16.8 inches I do consider that my best storm ever. https://www.weather.gov/dtx/151121winterstorm I guess maybe I have cracked 16.
  13. Last weekend at the AAA rock climbing wall near Big Bay.
  14. There was one here in the late 80s that supposedly topped 2 feet. I was living closer to Det and it wasn't as impressive there.
  15. Have never cracked 16 inches in 42 years here. Total depth has, but not from one storm.
  16. Would be nice to lay something down on NW Michigan trails so I don't have to drive to the UP for decent conditions.
  17. Who's riding, who's shoeing and who's skiing?
  18. 6-10 inch storms are a safe bet for the Great Lakes region outside of LES locations.
  19. We're too far from the ocean to have that sort of moisture transport north.
  20. Nails me with at least 16 inches. 2 feet just on my doorstep. End result, I get 8 inches. Let's be real about this.
  21. Debatable. I'm tired of having little snow in the lower peninsula.
  22. Damn thing is starting to move south and dry out. Zero winter recreational benefit in Michigan at this point.
