  1. What's the verification rate on that model?
  2. It's just a clipper level storm here. Mother nature is gonna do her thing, but if I had a vote....I'd pass. Not worth the kid headaches and hit my business will take from low daily sales. But...not something I can control anyhow.
  3. Congrats corn country on your storm. Southern Michigan is just about out of the mix.
  4. Looks like I'm in for advisory level snow. Not worth the reduced business and headaches with the kids schools being closed. I hope the next run bumps north or way south....would rather pass on 3-5 inches.
  5. I have a crew that rides almost exactly like that.
  6. Damn, let's hang out ... this barn is exactly what I'm planning too.
  7. Anything south of the red lines is a waste of snow to a snowmobiler. No trails. No one is even reporting conditions in NE Michigan. No snow.
  8. My interests are mostly around snowmobiling. There's very little upside to the storm at this point. 12 to 15 inches hitting corn fields don't do much for me. I'd rather get rain and have west Michigan trails get 15+. I just trailer out, there's nowhere to trailer to besides Canada and they aren't letting anyone in for recreational reasons.
  9. I'd rather get missed altogether than the 4 inches the GFS shows for me.
  10. I was trying to find the NWS news archives, but locally I don't think I have had the same luck as downriver.
  11. My comment was a bit of an overreaction. 6 years of struggling to crack 6 inches gets to you.
  12. I'm looking at more than 3 to 5 at the moment, but the advisory tier is right on the doorstep with another S bump from the GFS.
  13. Wind on a 2 laner for everything but the front windshield and sides. Sure
  14. The 6z basically gives me 3 to 5 inches now. Detroit would still be 12ish. Uhg. Not even worth cleaning off the car for that.
  15. I use the snow for snowmobiling and there's no trail system south of me to even drive to if that happens. A bit early to stress over it.
  16. If this shifts 50 miles south I'll lose this storm.
  17. 16.8 inches I do consider that my best storm ever. https://www.weather.gov/dtx/151121winterstorm I guess maybe I have cracked 16.
  18. Last weekend at the AAA rock climbing wall near Big Bay.
  19. There was one here in the late 80s that supposedly topped 2 feet. I was living closer to Det and it wasn't as impressive there.
  20. Have never cracked 16 inches in 42 years here. Total depth has, but not from one storm.
