Interesting tidbit about the WH. Yeah, maybe trust is involved for some people, even to this day. I'm not sure why the folks I know prefer it...but I'm glad they found each other.

Today I learned...that someone I have worked with for years...someone whose home I have never visited, but who I thought I knew fairly well...HAS NO AIR CONDITIONING AT ALL. Lives in a very nice old neighborhood and can well afford it. They don't even throw in a window unit when it's like this. Nothing. I can be pretty tough but I'm at least sleeping with AC on. Dang. edit - balto city this isn't the catoctins or whatnot

Looked it up, beautiful moth and a boss caterpillar. It was faster than I expected. From my slight research I thought maybe a couple weeks.

RadarScope is worth it. I have both desktop/mobile. I miss the old iweathernet zoomability as well. 0.25" today

These photos didn't really do it justice plus had to screenshot and reduce. From yesterday. It's in a container now and taking a day off from paparazzi.

It does look more whitish. It's absolutely wild looking now, with a silvery sheen and metallic gold spots. Will try to get a pic and post later.

There are def violets though the real patches are not close to the porch. I've seen great spangled fritillaries (best name ever) around in years past, looked up and read larva feed on violets, which is a reason I leave the patches under trees But I didn't read so far to see it's so many species. The shot was actually yesterday and things have progressed today. Spectating. I might need to find a safer spot as plant can blow around/over in a storm.
