Exactly, same page. It does make it a bit harder to give a grade or otherwise generalize about the winter once you define the term. I'm not letting snow totals get me down too much though. I REALLY dug the extended snowcover. That made the winter (to date!) for me.

Your area did awesome! But you don't get what I'm saying...you are co-opting "the lowlands" for your latitude. It's about elevation, not latitude.

If I've done anything to help us northern lowlanders be recognized as legit lowlanders, to help the forum understand it's not all mountainous awesome climo up in here, progress has been made! I think most anti-negativity is not so much about what you describe (2-4 vs 15) as...people who get upset they might get a foot+ of snow instead of two+ feet bc a model showed two feet before. But maybe you feel that way too. Not sure of the geography of those complaints but it's obv worse if they've had a good winter to date and are whining But -- unless I'm missing something it's not that many people. It seems like it only takes a single complaint for a dozen people to be like omgggg the meltdownsss it's pandemonium this place is off the rails etc which is why I advocate ignoring people who make truly ridiculous complaints.
