  1. Thinking about baking some banana bread or muffins with dark chocolate chips. Real food is currently an unknown.
  2. It's loud! Haven't given a river ob here for a while, unsurprisingly it is frozen over, with a blanket of white on top
  3. Just measured 6.5" while being lashed with sleet. Keeping an eye out for @T. Augustmeasurements over on the other side of APG.
  4. Over the 5" mark here, will measure after flip. All snow, beautiful, cold, quiet...
  5. First flakes here on the upper western shore! NE of Baltimore in Harford Co
  6. I really can't with the NAM rn. But hasn't high risk suffered enough today?
  7. Excited like kids (if not actual kids) waiting for the snow...
  8. Here's the site to explore! https://mesonet.umd.edu/index.html
  9. Take every cutting board in the kitchen. Tell them it's for science.
  10. Thanks, will share with my dad . Kinda wish I was hanging with him in Columbia, keeping him company (first winter without my mom). But he does have a sn...snleet removal service, and I took him a huge bucket of sand. I am also happy to see a decent winter storm here in Harford.
  11. Reached?? Armchair psychology is second only to weather tracking here haha. I'm still hoping for a 6" floor as I have been for days (yes, including sleet). I am in the Baltimore-North snow drought hole with Maestro, Towson, Rick, BaltoSquid etc and I wanted a bigger, snowier storm and get anyone who is bummed BUT I refuse to spend the storm all cranky. Not reading hundreds of cranky posts either, it will be ignore time and get off the forum time. Here's to frozen precip, health, happiness, and hopefully some laughs as it plays out!
  12. Hi 41, currently 33. Wind came in like a switch flipped on.
  13. Suddenly craving a NM style breakfast burrito. Green chile.
  14. I'm not-working ready on Monday ...to support the mission, of course
  15. Spend too much time looking at model maps and start to see them projected on the inside of my eyelids during those times.
  16. Lmao. They'll be all set for the generator and ALSO for tormenting their neighbors with non-stop, snow-peacefulness-destroying, obsessive snow blowing. (something I have to prepare a zen mindset about ugh)
  17. Anyway...Maestro, you can read music. A graphical representation of keys, pitch, rhythm, etc etc so many factors. Most people look at that like you look at a sounding, and feel mystified, maybe intimidated. I bet if you psych yourself up and think I can do it, and take the time with it, you can.
  18. In the same pathetic snow hole. Have been thinking/now hoping 6" is our floor.
  19. Without commenting on the snow/sleet amounts part...nearly everyone on here is tired, cranky, needs a nice cup of sleepytime tea and a good night's sleep.
  20. Beware, one was posted that wasn't finished snowing
  21. I think the larger point of his post is the level of uncertainty that persists with this and the limits of what can be known, when.
  22. Sounds super fun. Glad you get to just enjoy this one! Thanks for all your thoughts.
  23. Sounds like you enjoy it and it's part of your weenie-ing out vs just a sense of duty, which I respect haha I like being out in it, too, but walking and stuff more so than shoveling
