  1. Pretty much an area from Putnam down to Ginx SW to Danbury area is a model blend; maybe .3-.6 accretion
  2. I saw Ryan's thinking in CT regarding ZR and it seems like a good call.
  3. So is your thinking that a ZR threat in CT is confined to Middletown area SW?
  4. What concerns me is the threat of decent icing has been there since Sat, maybe the areas have shifted but I still think the threat has to be considered. As you know most people are not prepared for a power loss especially with the cold coming Monday.
  5. Models have been hitting at a decent amount of ice since Sat; tough forecast to make, I don'tenvy you. Is the Quinebaug Valley ever as susceptible to ZR as the CT River valley?
  6. So the icing threat still confined to southern half of CT; snow and ping fest Tolland to Worcester and mostly snow NW?
  7. Is there less chance of Taint south of the Pike?
  8. Do any other models show ice south of the Pike as consistent as this and is this more IP than ZR?
  9. I think south of the Pike area, especially closer to the CT line will be the area to watch for ZR; areas north of the Pike might ping for a bit but stay mostly snow.
  10. Is the icing threat for SNE still there?
  11. This is a concern especially if the surface remains cold; is the icing threat a real concern? To early to tell.
  12. ECMF still showing icing threat central/Western Ma and CT River valley in CT.....How strong is the High to the north?
  13. Is the icing threat still there for SNE? It had been since Sat which was concerning.
  14. Is the zr threat still there on the GFS?
  15. In 08 it creeped as far south as Oxford; if the GFS were to verify I could see it being a N CT to NH line tyoe event; hope its wrong.
  16. CAD happening? Sneaky icing event. Just saw the below on Twitter. Sounds like Worcester emt’s and firefighters have to walk patients down streets because they can’t get apparatus up the icy streets??
  17. I mean it's sunny and 73 here in S FL with border line drought conditions, I'll take it! ;). I will be up in Feb so I am hoping you get some snow by then so I can take my daughter skiing.
  18. Was that the storm that was forecasted 7-10 and we got 20+? Somw reason I thought it was a Mar storm. I remember waking up at 2am we had close 8" and it must have showed 3-4" an hr for the next 3 hrs and waking saying WTF did all that come from!
  19. Not sure where he is working but Charlton is a pretty nice town
  20. Just a novice observation but the New England area has had quite the stretch of wet weather and you got to expect a shift to a dry pattern at some point? Maybe it's Jan/Feb or maybe it holds off until Late Spring. Here in S FL it has been a fairly cool and dry fall with most rain confined to Orlando area north into the Pan Handle. Not sure how weather trends here translate to trends we see back in New England but this is the coldest period I have had down here in 5 years.
  21. Merry Christmas from S FL, hope you all have a safe Holiday!
  22. Decent gust front down here and temp dropped from 81 to 68, other than that Meh "Severe" in S FL. Enjoy your flooded basements up north
  23. Currently in Vero Beach FL and 80F with decent wind out of the SE; things will get stormy here in a few hours
