    With 40 years of record these are the monthly records I set this year...Feb highest temp 77 degrees ( Just missed warmest mean ) Also wettest at 6.66" , March highest snowfall 24.9", April coldest at 47.7 degrees, Nov coldest temp 13 degrees and wettest at 8.57"....Quite a few.

    1.16" so far today...68.36" for the year. More rain to come Monday to finish off a very wet year...Wont beat my record from 2011 but did not have the single super month like the 21.55" total in Aug of that year, Also record number of days with measurable precip now at 162 compared to only 129 in 2011.

    One thing that hasnt been difficult to forecast is the rain., 0.85" here so far, now over 68" for year.

    It is hard to believe that some of us will finish with no measurable snow for Dec after how promising it looked earlier in the month...Oh well...Two more rain events before months end look likely, so getting closer to that 70" ytd precip total here.

    Euro showing 3-4+" of precip during next ten days, more stations may be setting yearly records.

    Agree with the daily doom and gloom, geez. I remember last year at this time we were watching a bitter arctic air mass coming southward and trying to time out its arrival. Some modeling had it arriving shortly after Christmas with a very mild Xmas day...Well Xmas was cold in the 30's and shortly thereafter we dropped below freezing and stayed there for two weeks.

    1.50" for yesterday, 1.79" for the three days and 65.20" for the year... Two or three more good storms, maybe I'll hit 70"

    I can understand the pessimism going forward, but making definitive statements for a month ahead? People should know better.

    Currently 47° with drizzle and fog... 0.30" rain so far, looking good for another inch plus thru tomorrow night.

    1973 I remember that one...I was looking out the front door at night and heard a loud cracking noise. Our big mamosa tree split down the middle from the weight of the ice. We didn't want to lose the tree so my dad ( who could fix anything) made these two big metal brackets which we bolted together around the trunk...it worked and the tree lived many more years with the bark growing over the brackets. Memories.

    Still looks like inch plus rains coming, but it's more of a Sunday event now as opposed to the late tonight into tomorrow timing that it was earlier.

    The coming week will continue the cold pattern which set in last Wed...To bad we couldn't cash in with any snow.

    Looks cold but dry for upcoming week...Two storm threats for rain in 7 - 10 day range... Doesn't look like any snow but something to track... Getting some of our stations closer to the 70" yearly precip total.
