I had 9” imby (Columbia) back in Feb. of ‘10. That was, and still is, the only snow I knew was coming ten days away. The only uncertainty was how much moisture was going to fall. That’s the most snow I’ve ever seen in sc and it was all melted before noon the next day

I remember driving down that day to see my ex. I got there and stopped at the fresh market at Trenholm Plaza. It was just starting to snow so I was okay.

everybody else wasn’t. I’ve never seen such panic.

  2. There’s several things we haven’t seen in a few years on the table for next week:

lows in the single digits, maybe close to zero in the foothills and the border counties with Virginia with highs for several days in the twenties. The ground is going to be a brick. We haven’t had antecedent conditions like this for a storm since February 2014.

How far north in Durham County  are you Bull City?  I’m right on the Durham/Wake line about  3-4 miles north of Brier Creek.

I’m about a mile from the Orange County line off Bivins Rd and seven miles due NW of DBAP. It’s a weird spot for soundings because I’m equal distance from IGX and TDF. RDU is a bit further. @Isopycnic is about 4 miles SW of me and I think @Avdave is actually in Brier Creek.

@Blue_Ridge_Escarpment @BullCityWx you guys have any thoughts on the main batch of WAA as to how good lift will be for dendritic growth? Tonight’s pixie dust I’m assuming may be more related to ratios somewhat. Have you guys seen anything that will aid in enhancement of fgen or anything?

Honestly, I haven’t been giving this too much attention. @Blue_Ridge_Escarpment is probably the go to man here.

I will say that it’s been snowing here for fifteen minutes and it has slowly gone over to almost all sleet.
