  1. 115+ heat index potential on the way for Tuesday for this area. Dews likely near 80 with temps in the mid 90s. Some favored areas may see 82-84 degree dews with 120+ indices not out of the question. Dews drop a tad for Wed/Thu, but ambient temps may make it to 100 both days. Impressive stretch coming up.
  2. Solid sleeping weather. Got down to 49 here this morning.
  3. Nice little burst of pea sized hail and some crashing thunder. Not a bad way to kick off the day.
  4. Yesterday kicked off Taco Bell's taco Tuesday-free doritos locos tacos. Could explain it.
  5. Yeah definitely a good chance at more than 1 day with dews AOA 80 for parts of the sub early next week. Time to sweat out some toxins lol
  6. 0.87" this morning from some high-efficiency rainers. Up to 1.38" for August.
  7. System was a big dud for the northeast half of the DVN area. The models did a good job advertising this over the past few days, but SPC continued to insist on a slight for the whole area. Not sure what they were looking at.
  8. Nice deep blue sky this afternoon mixed in with the fair-weather cu. Nice to see after so much grungy haze/smoke much of the summer
  9. Yeah don't see much in the way of rain around here until maybe next Thu. Sun/Mon system looks like a dud for this area. Getting some slow rumbles and light anvil rain here this morning.
  10. Models sucked ass with this system. Just 0.15" here. Nice amount of rain in July so we don't need it that badly anyway at least.
  11. Looks like a good soaking on the way tomorrow night/Monday morning. 2-3" not off the table.
  12. That'll need adjusting northwestward into eastern IA and northwestern IL in later outlooks.
  13. Hopefully the new day4 introduces a risk area, and it looks like this.
  14. 12z Euro still looking pretty nice. Nice little vort max rolling in around peak heating. Hope the Euro is on the right track.
  15. New Euro shows a pretty decent severe threat Sunday/Sunday night from WI/IL points east. Next thing to watch for sure.
  16. That sugar maple looks a little young to be crapping out already. Deep blue skies here as well, with some towers going up. A few isolated downpours have popped up in the heat of the day.
  17. Today's near 70 degree dews feel like fresh canadian air compared to yesterday's oppressive lower 80s.
  18. A moderate risk would definitely have worked out quite well this evening. Fairly dense population of severe reports showing up as the evening progresses.
  19. Today's 0.66" brings us up to about 4.5" for July. The drought is a distant memory now.
  20. Today's 96 at MLI was the 28th day AOA 90 this year.
  21. 55 MPH quality gust front. Enough to be entertaining and don't have to worry about a massive cleanup. Heavy rains arriving now. Temp has crashed over 20 degrees.
  22. Sirens going off here with the emergency notification blasting everyone's phones. Good shot at 70-80mph from the looks of things, especially just north.
  23. Yeah this flash flood threat is definitely pretty high end. These storms are lined up parallel with the swath of highest PWs, north of 2". Some seriously high totals I'm afraid for some peeps.
