  1. Well Cleveland is very Cleveland-centric in their forecasts and it shows unfortunately. I think 5-8” is a slam dunk for the Toledo area at this time
  2. Rant incoming. This map is so infuriating. Clearly IWX shows 6”+ for the Toledo area, yet CLE has them around 2-4” as do the local Toledo mets. It’s like the local people in Toledo are obsessed with American models, so when the Euro consistently shows an amount on either side of the coin they don’t cling to it until 12 hours before
  3. I think this could bust hard. No reason to go under 6” in Toledo
  4. Yeah most have fallen. I’d say 75% of trees are pine or palm so you don’t see much of this anyways. They just kinda fall here, not much changing of the leaves. Props to my alma mater Bowling Green, nice shot of snow here!
  5. I’m still here. Haha other than 70 and sunny there isn’t a lot of forecasting to do here. Actually only supposed to be 52° on Tuesday! May actually have to run my furnace
  6. Makes you wonder if some places will be issued Blizzard Warnings. At the heart of the storm in that main band consistent 30-35 mph seems attainable with heavy snow
  7. I’m kind of shocked. Went to Dick’s Sporting Goods and Target today, deader than a usual day. Crazy slow, let alone for a Black Friday
  8. I still have my doubts on it not going west of Toledo. So rare to see strong lows not cut up towards Fort Wayne with big snows for Chicago and Milwaukee this early in the season. I cannot remember in my life an “app runner” in November. Maybe 2002?
  9. I blame the Lions for the yelling and alcohol today
  10. So I’ve heard. My buddy flew from Charlotte to Denver and the temp was 50° less when he got off the plane lol. We’re doing a smoked turkey outside, quite a bit of family drove in from out of town and it’s 83°. Can’t beat an outdoors thanksgiving in shorts
  11. I wouldn’t say a highly contagious illness that spreads before people have symptoms is easy to control. I’ve said it a thousand times, have to close factories down to beat this thing down. All companies are doing is saying they’re part of the “supply chain” to remain open as an essential business. My dad’s work has an outbreak occurring on the floor. How laminated labels for beers is an essential business is beyond me. If you’re going to be working 8-10 hours indoors along side other people, it’s gonna spread
  12. Might be time for a thread. What a bomb for Toledo & Detroit
  13. I wouldn't say a field storming is brief. But I agree, it's private gatherings that are mostly driving this.
  14. For sure. Two things that have been very interesting to me this Fall, no athlete has caught Covid from a game in the NFL or College which is interesting considering they're playing a contact sport. Secondly no one caught Covid from that field storming at Notre Dame. I'm shocked at both things
  15. I mean I can’t imagine anyone living in a Midwestern city knocking Charleston, SC. I literally do live in a paradise haha, it’s one of the top vacation and retirement places in America for a reason. Do bring up a good point though. Why is spread so bad up in the Midwest? Honestly all these restrictions in the North, yet the spread is so much worse? Personal opinion, it’s all private gatherings and work. The more you take away from public options, the more people resort to cookouts and movie nights with friends. Between that and the abundance of factories and distribution centers, it’s going to lead to higher spread
  16. Oof@Hoosier you gotta shut this down. I never thought this thread would go down an exercise and diet rabbit hole but here we are
  17. Man do you even remember college? I used to exercise all the time and was broke as hell haha. http:// https://www.foxnews.com/us/pennsylvania-governor-covid-masks-worn-indoors-requires-bans-alcohol-thanksgiving What’s next, banning the sale of condoms to try and prevent people from coming within 6 feet from each other
  18. I swear these toilet paper hoarders make me hate people. WHAT IS THE POINT OF BUYING UP SO MUCH TP!? I have a few friends who have caught Covid as well as my boss & no one has mentioned explosive diarrhea as a side effect
  19. Huge fan of pivotal. I remember back in the day using a borrowed Accuweather Premium login to get all my Euro data haha
  20. Consensus seems very strong that ground impacts will dominate here. I’m iffy on that however, so many times with such short days it seems as though it only takes a few minutes to begin accumulation. One forecast I saw mentioned that NE winds off the Lake could hurt snow chances in that band
  21. Wow things are really about to start amping up here aren't they? Euro shows potential winter shot for the Great Lakes this weekend & then severe weather in the South on Wednesday-Thanksgiving
  22. Who’s to determine what an “essential” job is? Haha this is what gets me, are we to tell a bartender they are not essential in our world? A barber? A hotelier? The more these governments push, the easier they make it for large corporations to dominate. I may be banking my best bonus this year yet personally while working from home. Why? Because small businesses are aggressively offering lower prices to not take a massive loss
  23. I feel as though as the resident Supply Chain Analyst on here I'll chime in about it's distribution. So will it be difficult, absolutely! But supply chain is in general. To keep tabs on the entire life of the development of a product and rid of inefficiencies is never easy, that's why it pays so well relatively (median salary of $85K, $60-70K out of college). Where these companies are in a good spot to pull this off is that they have 1. Almost no government constraints & 2. An unlimited checkbook with a massive profit windfall. Truthfully government regulations bog things down more than anything, so anyone who is getting 100% assistance from the government is in a great spot. Secondly, these companies can throw gobs of money at it, budgetary constraints are the other thing that can be quite an obstacle. I think we can expect hiccups at the beginning (implementation is always the hardest part of any new venture) but those kinks will be figured out relatively quick. I'd imagine by Spring we're cooking pretty good with delivery. Honestly the biggest issue I see is Americans lack of preventative care. As a country it shocks me how few people have a family doctor. So getting on that list for your shot is going to be very difficult when you have no PCP.
