Granted it’s only the point and click but I don’t think I’ve ever seen “100” in a local forecast especially three days out. With regards to the tstorm potential this weekend I like that there could be an EML in place:
but will
also lead to the eastward advection of extremely steep lapse rates
in the 700 to 500 mb layer from the northern Plains and Rockies,
which meteorologists refer to as an "elevated mixed layer".
ABBA MCS
So when you're near me, Darlin can't you hear me? MCSThe love you gave me, Nothing else could save me, MCSWhen your gone, How can I even try to go on, When your gone, though I try, How can I carry on?
Btw I meant to ask but what is going on the last few days with the outlook area between SE PA and DE and NJ? They’ve been in a tiny marginal area the last few days. (And seems to have been producing too!) Some kind of orographic or local phenomena going on?
I hope nobody takes this the wrong way but if climate change has resulted in uneventful weather around here that may be the biggest tragedy here so far
As we’re only a day away from the 72nd anniversary of the great Worcester Tornado, is there a way to get a current picture of this particular area as it looks today vs what this tornado depicts here in ‘53? I’ve tried google maps but with limited success..Any help is greatly appreciated.
Just something I noticed in the point and click. No WAY can this be correct..Thunderstorms with cold temps and an easterly wind? That’s rubbish, no?
Thursday
Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 3pm, then showers between 3pm and 5pm, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 5pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Patchy fog. High near 51. Northeast wind 11 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
This turned out to be at least a semi eventful day for a lot of folks and I think that’s great. I had absolutely zero expectations for my area today and it over delivered a bit..A nice start to May as someone posted earlier
Thank you for making me aware of this. This and video of the tornado approaching the guy in the window are two of the most incredible things on the web to me
