  1. Should see bands pivot a bit as the storm treks NE. 7-11am should be prime time in the 95 metro corridor
  2. Figured. Precisely my jackpot zone. Rt 50 east of DC ground zero
  3. Quite the sharp cut off. 8” in eastern Howard county with 2” line near Frederick
  4. Same here my friend. Steady snow but nothing major yet. Dc bands are eating up the moisture currently l
  5. The area I’m eyeing for jackpot totals. Just NW enough for snow, SE enough for heaviest axis of precip. Could very well see 6-8” just east/SE of Baltimore with 2” in Towson. Very sharp cutoff incoming
  6. The hours between 7a-1p should be pretty amazing for most in the CWA. Great looking WV loop there. Impressive lift occurring
  7. Going to set an alarm for 7 am and attempt to sleep for a bit before the heavy stuff arrives. Should be knocking on Baltimore and it’s suburbs door at that time.
  8. We’ve been under a steady moderate snow here for a while now. A lot of the heaviest moisture is to my south and east, drying up some of the moisture as bands move up this way. Expecting the area of best lift to continue to march NE over the coming hours. Meso analysis sounds pretty spot on. 7a-10am should be prime time for the Baltimore metro. Could see 4-6” in that small window 32* snow - Ellicott city
  9. Big facts! Hoping we’re able to squeeze one or two of those ideal setups in during this niña winter.
  10. Charlottesville? Radar looks JUICED there right now.
  11. Just goes to show how much timing means with weather. We don’t need the trifecta +PNA -AO -NAO setup to score
  12. Whichever areas can stay all snow JUST Nw of the r/s line in Virginia and E MD / DE are going to get hammered. Usually can find the heaviest precip near the fall line. Looks like Charlottesville over to culpelper are currently in this zone. Nice band moving into Manassas as well
  13. Good eye. Let’s see if it translates to anything (More expansive shield northward or heavier qpf)
  14. Have to imagine there’s some thunder associated with that band SW of dc
  15. morristown TN - an area that was 60+ degrees with severe thunderstorms warnings earlier today now reporting 2+“ of snow with heavy snow falling. Amazing
  16. My buddy in Annapolis said it’s snowing hard out there
  17. Wild. It stuck almost immediately here to the usual colder surfaces.
  18. Definitely see that based on latest trends. Someone out your way into Delaware and southern jersey is going to jackpot above 12”. 2-3” per hour rates coming for that area. Going to be some sweet mesos forming east of dc later on this morning If this wasn’t such a quick mover, I’d say 12” was possible area wide bear i-95. Shame but it will be a fun morning nonetheless.
  19. A thing of beauty. Hard to imagine the precip shield falling apart. Should get slugged between 7a-1p
